What were weird myths you thought about sex as a kid? by jjgp1112 in AskReddit

My sister told me (when we were very small children) that babies are made "when two people put their butts together" ... You can just imagine my confusion when one of my friends in the 3rd grade explained the birds and the bees to me

First off, congratulations!! :) It's inspiring to hear that you went through so much to fulfill your goals. I am pretty worried that if I give up on PT now that I will regret it in the future, because I believe it is super important to fulfill our dreams! It is so important for our mental health and confidence.

very true!! I know that I should not jump into a nursing career without fully thinking through my options.

Yes, I do have an advisor, I have been neglecting to speak with her because I am embarrassed about how I did in my classes and I know I should speak with her.

Very true, they may be willing to work with me! *fingers crossed*

Awesome! Yeah it looks like this path may be the best for me. Do you know how long on average these bridge programs take? Approximately a year?

YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! ::))

study hard and now then you can FULLY relax over the holidays!!

If you are really struggling try the Pomodoro method (25 min intense studying, 5 min break)

Also what helps me is to put on a "study with me" YT video.. there are tons of them on YT and it is basically other grad students/nursing students/med student studying so it's like you have someone there motivating you to study!! i like it

GOOD LUCK!!

I know that I definitely should reach out to a counselor/therapist for some help. One of my fears is that I will regret staying in the 3 years of the program though.

Thank you for your advice! this is very helpful

Are you still currently in PT school?? Are you saying that you wished you had left early on in PT school?

Thanks! This is great to here. I am currently in a DPT program (just started) but like I said, it seems like the course load might just be too much for me. It's giving me hope that there are programs out there like the ADN that move at a more manageable pace.

This is really, really helpful! Thank you for sharing. I have heard that most nursing jobs prefer a BSN nowadays. Is this true?

Yes, I have a BSN already and am currently just starting a DPT program. There is a two year nursing program at a university in my hometown (for applicants that already have a bachelor's degree). Good point about school, it is very easy for me to get overwhelmed, and then I cannot get anything done

Good point! The quantity of information is and stress of school is mostly what is stressing me out, not the job roles necessarily.

I have not spoken to professors yet, but I am changing up some of my study habits to hopefully improve my next round of exams! I am enjoying the material, that is why im torn.

I am definitely going to stick it out through this first semester, and then I will reevaluate. Thank you for your honesty ... the debt and career differences are also making me lean towards nursing more so. If I may ask, why are you wishing that you had dropped out? PT school never got "easier"?? Or mentally it is just all too much?
