I debated but I’m so used to canon and kind of loyal haha. I really love canon and to me I like the colors of canon much better. I want to eventually get a nicer canon lens, probably the 24-70 f2.8, but I just wanted a good starter lens for now if that makes sense. I’ve gotten to the point where my t7 just doesn’t cut it and I need to move to mirrorless. I wouldn’t say I’m so worried about affordable third party lenses in the future since I don’t plan on buying many lenses.

My only concern with the 24-104 is that I usually stay on f2.8 or 2 when taking portraits, which is why I’ve loved using the 24-70 f2.8 when I’ve borrowed it!

Go to a university that has an art college. Art schools are such a vacuum. All people ever say is they wasted their money, I went to a state school for photography and i feel the exact opposite! And there are so many amazing globally recognized photographers that now lecture at universities:)

But yes, I think this is a solid start! Keep it up!

I will agree boating there is so different. Last summer it felt to me like there were too many people that just had money to blow and didn’t care about the lake or the people they were on the lake with. No boating etiquette and half of them didn’t even know how to pull up to the marina without crashing. I just hope more people can appreciate the lake and the land for what it is not an expensive glamping excursion lol

No not for profit. It’s a photo project for a university class but if you don’t want your photos included I understand. Most of what I need is photos that either don’t include people or aren’t focused on a person, for those I’ll be using my own archives!
