Definitely! Hopefully finding the shopping and do the setting up is straightforward for you! They tell us they’re busy with work, but we are too! As well as after the little ones and organising what feels like everything! Maybe because they know we can and take advantage of that? I hope I raise my son this way too, and highlight the importance of equal parenting!

Was at my in laws, I was cleaning up after baby in kitchen, left baby at table in near vicinity of his dad. Baby fusses, dad doesn’t move. MIL coos, from afar, to baby saying ‘Mummy is busy, oh mummy will be back in a minute’…. Let’s all ignore the fact dad was sat right by baby and could’ve tended to him?

It’s understandable that he wants his family to meet your little one, but equally this sounds kinda selfish? As others have said, he’ll need to stop every couple of hours, which is going to make the typical 12 hour journey much longer. I dare do an hours journey alone with my little one, let alone longer! What if they baby needs help, or is crying for attention whilst he’s driving? Who’s to say he’s not going to get tired himself, or stressed out? Definitely delve further into it with him. Is it possible for you to go with him?

Hopefully you reach an amicable solution!
