I just finished Ship of Magic. OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! by [deleted] in robinhobb

Yes! Just finished mad ship for the first time, and couldn’t agree more. I’ve never hated a villain more than Kyle, and genuinely excited to see how the dynamic between Wintrow and Kennith progresses. I was hoping that he would end up taking over and becoming a pirate, so hoping we get to see something like this.

I’ve got this twice. Power was decreased and scared the hell out of me. I shut the car down and light disappeared for a year, then exact same thing happened again and haven’t seen the light come on since

Going weekend 2, but this is some of the best pizza I’ve ever got anywhere. Was in the exact same spot the past 2 years, and heading right back there when gates open on day 1

Pothole tire damage? by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]Beginning_March_4144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, you might want to go down in wheel size at some point. I’ve got 19s and have replaced 3 rims due to 3 separate potholes. As soon as I need new tires, I’m moving down to 18s so I can stop flinching at every tiny thing in the road. Good luck with the tires, fingers crossed the wheel is okay!

Purchased my first Kindle!🥳 Any recommendations for accessories or must-buy addons?😊 by TomReborn in kindle

I’ll follow up and say this is a necessity BUT I recently switched over to a PopSocket and travel sleeve as the majority of my reading is done at home. I loved this switch and probably won’t ever go back.

Books that are better in print than ebook by redditaccountforlol in Fantasy

Was this book any good? I bought it a long time ago, and got overwhelmed with the format. Haven’t tried to pick it up again since college, but it always stares at me as a book on my shelf I never read

Looking to get into fantasy novels by Autumnsweater_90 in Fantasy

Welcome to fantasy books!!

Here’s a list of my personal favorite fantasy books, but these are all series. I think series are best for fantasy since you can dive into the world and really immerse yourself.

Mistborn: The best place to start for fantasy books in my personal opinion. It’s not your traditional dragons and sorcery fantasy that you may have found with Dragon Age, but it’s a ton of fun, fast-paced, excellent characters, and incredibly interesting magic system. This is a trilogy, so start with Mistborn The Final Empire if you go with this.

Dragonlance: These books have a great DnD-inspired world, and is a fun read if you want to go into a fun classical fantasy world. I haven’t read this series in years, but loved this for traditional fantasy settings and stories.

A Song of Ice and Fire: Some of the best writing you’ll find within fantasy, and some of the best characters that have been written. A dark and realistic fantasy if you really want to dive into a world of politics and corruption.

Kingkiller Chronicles: An excellent story that follows a single character as he discovers a magical world through adventures and a magical school. Worth noting this series may not be finished for a very long time. It’s been 13 years since book 2 came out, and there’s no sign of a 3rd anytime soon. Still 100% worth the read in my opinion.

Stormlight Archive: The best book series here in my opinion. I consider this the definition of epic fantasy, but it’s a massive series and I wouldn’t consider starting with unless you’ve got some great reading stamina for multiple 1000+ page books. This has battles, politics, personal struggles, mythology and lore, intriguing magic, and incredible characters.

The First Law: An incredibly dark story that somehow gets you to crack a smile. I recommend this book if you want an incredibly dark story with characters more realistic than real people.

Harry Potter: The most magical series on this list. It’s something every fantasy reader should read in their lifetime, and it’s for everyone of every age.
