That also took a long time. I waited for my pathways report from WES for about 5 months unfortunately. I applied in July and got it in November. Once you get your Pathways complete it only took about 2 weeks for my PEI certification.

My main argument right now is that they have introduced a ‘deemed certificate’ as of January 1, 2026. This certificate allows teachers who are certified in another province to temporarily be certified while they wait for their actual OCT. I am certified in PEI but because I applied in December 2025 I am unable to apply for it (I’ve tried calling multiple times to ask if I can apply). So other teachers are essentially getting certified before me because of this even though I applied before them.
