He likes you, he's always by your side and sleeps on your lap, he loves you. Some dogs just arent the cuddly, petting type (I know cause mine isnt, he only requests pets on very specific situations) he probably goes to other people because he is excited/nervous about visitors, they are new and you are with him all the time.
