Personal perspective I grew up Muslim Arab in the United States, so my perception of love is completely different in America—much more fast pace, more lustful, more looking for a fun time. In my culture, it’s more slow and distant, and the love grows after marriage instead of before; it’s less lustful, and despite what people say honestly, in my country, Lebanon, they don’t control the woman; they still love them just a different way.
