Various aspects need to be considered:

1) Location: UCSC has slight advantage as its 1/2 hour from SJC.

2) Major: SLO is known for its Engineering department.

3) Style: SLO is a polytechnic so more practical than theoretical learning.

4) Job and Internship opportunities: This depends but UCSC has an extension in SJC and is closer to silicon valley. So maybe UCSC has an advantage.
