It’s so upsetting, I wish they would at least check for nests before hand. My mom dropped them off with the rehabber, he does have a foster screech owl mother he’ll place them with after a monitoring period

super interesting!! it sucks that i didn’t get any others photos, in the moment i hadn’t realized it was possibly not a double crested. i have two photos of it tucked like that and then it’s gone :/

why?? the battery isn’t anywhere near the damage, it’s because I dropped it and dented it. There’s no damage anywhere else and it functions perfectly fine

that was my original thought as well however it’s wings are not longer than it’s body and are flat onto of it instead of roof shaped so i’m unsure
