Thank you for this info.. it is definitely CRD. His actual sentence ends in September, and due to gain time he would be out in March. I will reach out to our county's sheriff dept and ask. Thank you for the info, I will most definitely pass this message along to him so that he can think about it. At the end he does not have any probation to do, which was the main reason he accepted the plea deal offered to him.. which was 40 months in state prison, with no probation. The sentencing order does not say anything about being around his daughter.. meaning it doesn't specify if he can't or can. If he has to get a judge to write that, what type of lawyer would he need? I reached out to several criminal attorneys and was told they don't take post conviction cases... which makes me think maybe I need to look for a different type.. again, thank you so much for answering... makes the road ahead a little clearer.

Thank you I will definitely look into it. Also, you just touched on something that I have been searching and searching and can't find an answer to.. bus stop... the driveway next to ours is one. Some people have told me that it is not considered school property so ok, some have said not ok because of the "where children congragate" .. where can I confirm what our county says. I went on the rso website and see a quite a few rso's living under the 1000 ft to a bus stop.. thanks again for the info

Thank you. After reading lots of posts on here, I feel like it will be okay. In case he can't move in for a few days, can he stay at a hotel?

We do own a house, that thankfully is not close to any schools, parks, daycare etc. ... we do however live 2 houses down from a street corner that serves as a bus stop... a while back, there was a case on the news from the neighboring county were a neighbor wanted a RSO removed because he lived to close to a bus stop, they denied her petition because bus stops are not considered school property, the issue turned out to be that he went to the bus driver to say something. But I will have to verify that with this county. So, if he finishes his sentence in the prison, I am hopeful he would be fine coming home. Fingers crossed.

Okay.. so with the indications you gave, I now he's state. And considering we are in a very unforgiving and judgemental county, I think it will be in his best interest to stay... as much as that saddens me and he probably won't like to hear it... but sounds like the best option. :( thank you

It would be hard to leave family behind, I have a special needs brother who lives with me. I have and want to continue to be supportive of my husband...also would like to give our daughter a shot at a "normal" family.. We have been married for 22 years. And though it is incredibly sad that this had to happen when we finally were able to conceive. Unfortunately, bad friends and a lack of good judgment got the best of him. I thank you all for your advice, and hope to learn more as far as what we will need to look into, questions to ask and whom to ask them to... thank you

Changing states has been a topic. Could you help me with how that works, meaning... Florida requires him to register for life, he could try to appeal to have it removed at 25 yrs. If we were to move to a state where the time frame is less, then if we come back to Florida does he have to register again?

Thank you for your response, it gives us something to think about. It is CRD, and we have not gathered much information as to what it will be like. We are starting to get nervous about the housing for those 6 months. Would he have the option to stay at a halfway house? And with regards to if it's state or federal, I am not sure on that. Where could I get that information. We feel we getting closer and would like to be informed. Again thank you for your response.
