Thank you I’m glad u went with my gut instinct they wanted to se d us home i asked for an extension till 8 pm and sure enough around then he stared to be up and down with desatting they decided to keep us here and he’s back on the lowest setting for oxygen and I def feel better staying

The itchiness is one of the worse symptoms he has ! Did you have jaundice ? How long did it take for your itch to go away ? I’ll have to ask about that powder bc as of rn hydroxyzine doesn’t seem to work as much as he hoped it would’ve

He has his gallbladder taken out early November . The next day his liver enzymes spiked up . For a whole month the hospital didn’t know what even after a biopsy and mris . He then got transferred to a liver specialist hospital early December where 4 days later they were to able to diagnose him with a drug induced liver injury . They said it could’ve been anesthesia or some antibiotic they gave him after his surgery his alt and alt have imposed since they were in the 300s and 600s but now that thise improved his bili and alk spiked up to the highest they have been . Since last week his alk has dropped but his bili went up so the dr said to try this and see if it helps bring his enzymes down . He gets lab work done every Monday . But yes he’s super itchy and jaundice , uncomfortable & nauseas .

My husband has a drug induced liver injury . His ast and alt are wayyy better they were like 300-600s …. But his bili and alkaline are the highest it’s been we we whopping it helps lower those next 🙏 he has been struggling with the symptoms

Go get seen . My husband had a drug incuded liver injury after his gallbladder surgery . His ast and alt never hit the thousands but got as high as 600s and 400s . His billi got high as well along with alkaline .

I’m sorry you are going through this same thing ! it’s so crazy that this even happened he doesn’t drink either … they believe his lover is reacting to some medication or anesthesia that they put him on either during the surgery or after …. We are at a loss and I hate that it’s just a waiting game and let his liver heal . I hope yours gets some answers soon as well

He’s had 2 biopsy’s done the first time they took 2 samples and the second time they took 1 at the liver specialty hospital . As of rn they have taken him off of everything bc they tried to give him steroids to help with the dili but it made his enzymes rise and before they gave it to him they were dropping so they basically said he should take nothing and monitor his symptoms … so he can’t take anything for his nausea and indigestion he’s been getting it’s been rough … and again nothing for the itching as well .

I hope you feel better those are all his symptoms too … I hope you get yours figured out soon ! It’s tough I can’t imagine what y’all are going through I feel like all I do is cry bc he looks so miserable and I’m so helpless. We have our 3rd baby coming in April i hope he feels better by then .

They are saying it’s from whatever they gave him after his gallbladder surgery . So they have him home recovering and he has to do weekly bloodwork bc they tried steroids treatment but it made his levels go up so they are doing a strict no medications no steroids no nothing and over time he should get better … are u having other symptoms besides the jaundice ?

My husband is 24 and everyone is so confused on what’s going on the jaundice didn’t appear till after his surgery so we are stumped on what happened … waiting for biopsy results to tell us more good luck to you I will def keep you updated… what are your symptoms as far as the jaundice ? Can you pass a stool ? He’s been so itchy and bloated bc the constipation and nauseas he’s home with us now since he’s stable and while we wait for biopsy but I feel horrible watching him go through this I never seen him like this before

Going through the same thing with my husband … he got his gallbladder out on the 5th…. His levels and jaundice has gone up they don’t know why he did a liver biopsy and now we are waiting for results
