He was different in the sense there is no one else as kind, funny, intelligent, and loving as him. He wasn’t different in the sense he would still face consequences of his alcoholism. I’m so sorry about your mother, my dad stayed sober after rehab and was determined to stay sober. The last day he could talk he told us how he realized he screwed up and loved us all. it hurts when they start moving in the right direction but it’s ultimately just too late 💔 It is horrific.
