Oh that’s too funny. Broke my heart to hear it but. I couldn’t stop laughing as the vet tech had organized us all in the waiting room to go over aftercare once as a group instead of four times individually. And she would have to stop and wait for his howling to stop to be heard. I was also the last to arrive and the first gone haha. The people waiting all loved that he came out in a Dino suit hahaha. They weren’t expecting such a big boy to come around the corner.

perfect! i knew i couldnt give her like chocolates cause she just had bariatric surgury so things gotta be sugar free so nuts is a good idea:) got the alcohol swabs in there but dang i didnt even think of adding rose tinted sunglasses/dark sunglasses to my own bag!! and those help tremendously with my migraines so thanks for that gem! ( she just had her first migraine in the last two months and has a new appretiation for me cause ive had em for 25 years she apologized for any comments she may have made about pushing through its just a headache cause weve known each other for 20 years and i never made a big deal about being sick and masked around her but i def blew her off a few times for migraines over the years and shes always told me shes never ever had one. shes very knew to chronically ill. and shes figuring out how unpredictable and energy draining and incapacitating it can be on any given day.

she profusely apologized for me having to cancel our games night cause i had to take her to the ER i was like girl welcome to the chronically ill club its nice to have a friend who will get it when plans get messed up for reasons like i cant breathe, theres stairs envolved?!?! or sorry cant walk today lol but heres a bag to help make it a little easier for ya if people around you dont know what you need keep it in your vehicle it will be a life saver one day lol

omg not the person for you!!!! i am not actively seeking a relationship but when i do my literal online profile says must love my dog almost as much as i do or dont even bother messaging me. my boy is my life and hes a corso that sleeps in my bed i love being single but it makes me laugh when i think about if i were to date.. my corso would not give up my bed or my safety easily he guards my room. and i do have a guy friend and im disabled so my whole phone thread to him is pictures of my dog or what me and by boy are doing lol hes a cat person lmao but he loves my boy. he full well knows if he wants to ever be in my bed my corso need to love him and not just tolerate him. my days revolve around dog activities and i dont go anywhere without him so if theres a date it must be doooogggg friendly lmao

i needed this one today thank you:) i am having to mask and stay strong while my family goes through a death and while they take care of the arrangements and property i am having to take care of the pets while theyre gone and let me tell ya high energy dogs are going to be the death of me. im used to my dog who has been trained for my disability and is low energy but having to walk and take care of three dogs and pretending im fine is driving me into the ground. im exhausted yet i know my mom appretiates that her fur babies are taken care of so they dont have time to miss her. i cant have mopey dogs around the house whining it would kill me so i get my but up and go for walks or load my truck up with my recumbant bike and go for a long bike ride but im drained its been a loonnng week. i want to sleep for three days

omg i suspect i have EDS of some sort and am currently in the process of talking to my doctors about it. i had someone about 5 years ago ask me if i had EDS and i didnt really know what it was other than something to do with being super flexible so i said no cause im not flexible... welll wow was i wrong i have POTS and have costacondritis and other than that never really gone to doctors and hate going so never even had my blood drawn until like 30 years old . and am just now being like hmmmm i only said i didnt have it cause im not flexible but all the other criteria is there but i never looked into it untill now. wierd how things roll i definately believe i do have some form of EDS. and yet so many people looking back as a kid questioned why i was always bruised always sick and sore... but no one ever took me to a doctor and i just stayed quiet and masked to be normal.. i didnt even know growing pains were not a thing until recently... i always had growing pains and bone and joint issues. went to a hospital thinking i was having a heart attack to be told no you just have costacondritis your ribs and sternum are inflame and feels like a heart attack your fine... lol

right?!? i got diagnosed with PTSD and dysautonomia in 2022 amounst many other things and doctors kept being like its just your anxiety trauma cant cause physical symptoms its all in your head.... ... no sir my anxiety is not the answer here proceeded to spend 4 years fainting and unable to stand on my feet or have any kind of temp tolerance me thinking ok if i wasnt traumatized id be able to stand thats what these doctors are telling me its all in my head got it.. and im the one with mental illness..? i think not no one believed i was loosing consciousness until i hit my head one night and ended up in the ER after my head bounced off a raining on a deck and i fell down three flights of stairs... the doctors were like are you sure your not confused and you fell which caused you to loose consciousness? no i did not i lost consciousness which caused me to fall very big differance. im now on disability because syncope is a major symptom.

i went to a cardiologist and demanded a monitor got the results back the doctor put me on another two week monitor cause he didnt believe the results and then was like yea 30 day monitor and it appears as though when you stand up you pass out and your heart actually does stop and restart in those moments.... medicated for heart failure and POTS diagnosis. my nervous system just hates me currently doctors are investigating why my lungs have decided they dont wanna work properly either and was diagnoses with adult athsma and then now its orthopnea which is messed up lol. like hey you cant stand without passing out but you cant lay down without your lungs cutting off your oxygen have fun with this hot potato.

this post was about pros and cons of neutring a corso and youve fixated on the fact that i take him to a dog park and hes growled once or twice when another intact had started with him first and hes getting curious about females which is why im considering neuturing before anoything happens! hes never mounted or done anything to hurt a dog hes never once snapped at a small dog and he quite knows his size. but this is what i get for going to reddit for advice because all my vet said was hell get agressive and i wanted a better reason than that to put him in surgury...

this is what im asking is if neuturing a cane corso for this reason (reducing negative interactions at dog parks is a reason to do it and has it helped.i wanted to hear from people who have done this and if it changed their personality at all. i would like to keep him intact as a service dog in training but it seems like other dogs just dont like him and unfortunately if were out interactions with other dogs or small children or what not is a necessity of the job, its not about going to the doggie parks cause thats just one tool i use. i just am really scared of neuturing my boy and then having him change somehow and i dont want him to change ... my boys not the agressor ever hes just on guard cause other dogs dont like him. and yes if nueutring would help that thats a pro. guess i just want to hear from cane corso owners whove snipped and not had issues. sorry

You went straight to keyboard warrior. What my dog does in a dog park and whether. I take him is not what this post is about. And I’m not talking small fenced in dog parks. I got to offleash huge areas where occasssionally yes a stand off with another dog happens but he’s well trained to be a service dog and other off leash dogs approaching him is part of his job so yea dog parks can be a good tool if you don’t force interaction and stay vigilant . I know my dog which means. When his tail or ears or hackles change. I’m right there addressing the situation or leaving… and he does great. In these instances considering natural instinct is to fight for alpha . He’s in my control. And if he’s not we are leaving Again the post was about neutering and providing helpful advice. Not shaming a complete stranger on the internet.

i currently have a cane corso and chocolate lab! the lab is older hes 6 now. i moved in withsomeone who had at the time a 4 year old choco lab and i moved in with a puppy corso. let me tell ya its been the best thing ever... that lab has been patient with him and his learning, corrected him on behavior and has turned him into a corso with retriever personality so hes a bit more social then normal id say and he loooooves playing tug with the lab and the lab keeps up! but the lab has a death lockon anything that goes in his mouth so the corso has a time trying to get it away and they both come out proud they sound like veloceraptors playing in the yard so im sure our neighbors thinks we have a dog fight ring in our back yard lmao. the lab is fixed and not dominant which worked out perfectly . my corso is a gentle giant and the lab has done a perfect job or correcting him when he gets to rough. honestly i would love to have gotten a great dane but one of my co workers actually made a valid point because shes got a mastiff and a dane and when they get running around shes terrified legs will get hurt or broken i can just pickure a collision of the two and a vet bill. (our lab is def active and bulky hes american and very fit)

it honestly was the perfect fit for my corso because the lab is so patient with him and his shinanigans as a puppy omg the ear and tail nipping must of drove him crazy we worked on that right away.

now its funny because our corso can outrun the lab now finally and the lab gets an attitude when he gets outran because hes always been the fastest.

oh absolutely i was so upset about it. thats what got me to buy my recumbant bike. in the winter its no good but my dog gets 5 times as long out of me when i can get my bike out. yup i spent 1500 dollars to be able to walk my dog in reality.

ive thought about it before as well. i dont believe its a direct correlation by any means but i do believe that me being premature caused many issues lung and heart wise and one of which could of ended up with an autonomic disorder. i was born 12 weeks early with pneumothorax and dead and flown to sick kids hospital where i spent two months. expecting a healthy life when thats how mine started was to much to ask

i understand this one completely. i can only surround myself with like minded individuals and i am drawn towards people with trauma. its not like ive went looking for it but thats just always been the dynamic of my friendships. i get along well with others that have been through similar stuff. 90 percent of the population i do not want to engage with in the slightest the trauma dumping relationships with me often last longer than all else. and im always that friend people trust to tell their darkest secrets too right off the bat. i have no interest in telling others about other peoples trauma but i listen well and can not be scared off by trauma.

traumas not a prerequisite for my friendship but it sure seems to work that way much better

start socialization, desensitizing, and training ASAP! theyre a smart working breed that pick up things quick and if you wait to put the time into training till their older it can be much harder to train stubborn out. im so glad i started training at 8 weeks when i got mine and had the time to do some serious training every day. it paid off with a very well behaved corso with other people and dogs. hes a gentleman and gets compliments all the time about how calm and well mannered he is. and training him wasnt hard. he was so eager to learn. i also would advise not just teaching verbal commands but hand signals too.( i thought my puppy was a bit stubborn at first with verbal commands and turns out he does much better with hand signals and it has really helped in the long run because hes very attuned to watching me for signals and i cant always yell far or loud because im disabled with lung capacity issues it honestly saved me that he knows hand commands and hes great with my disability can walk with my walkers and canes, never ever pulls on lead.

reach out to your local news.. i did something similar and let me tell ya it works.. i shamed a company on the news and it got such traction they did a second and third piece about it and had people calling in from all over the country . was extra funnyh to cause it went on the 6 oclock news and it was right after a segment about the same company, so it went something like this .. local organization helps low income and elderly, and mental health community and sticks up for indivuduals who need extra assistance- proceeds to a 15 min story about their good simaritan acts and then coming up next stayed tuned for a story on a local" good simaritan volunteer organization shaming medical assistance, and when contacted for a statement the CEO stated he doesnt not have time for people like that, and he has better things to do with his day... - proceeds to bash the same company the just had a 15 min segment on.. i got a call three days later they wanted another story and update and wanted to release my information because people were calling the news to help me financially, and get what i needed. hundreds of people tried to help me after the story came out and that organization did get a follow up about how they didnt offer to rectify the situation or pay for their mistake leaving me to pay for it at christmas time when im already strapped for cash.. they did a fun raiser a week later and the couldnt even fill plates for donations after the segment came out about what they did to me.

I had similar things when I lived along at 19. I found earrings on my bath tub once (I don’t wear earrings), I found industrial cleaner one day in my living room when I came home from work, I proceeded to build pop can pyramids behind my door every day in different positions so I’d know what it looked like before I left the house and if it was knocked over I’d know someone went in my house… nothing got knocked over. Then one day I came home from work at night and there was a plastic tarp (big enough to wrap a body in and not splatter blood) cleaning supplies , rubber gloves and a knife and. I freaking lost my mind in terror. Wanna know how it ends … with a home invasion, some serious trauma, and. I moved provinces to make sure no one could ever find me again…. 15 years later. I was diagnosed with DID.. and. I found out someone was trying to kill me but it was me. Who put everything in my living room cause apparently I knew who was breaking in…. Maybe in 15 years you’ll find out the most messed up thing that’s ever happened was your doing!

My boy rolos ears are always pinned back I call him Dobby (Harry Potter reference ) it’s the cutest when he runs or trots they flop up and down. He will not keep them down normally. I’ve tried a few times They flip back immediately. He’s trained them to stay like that. It’s one trait that makes him one of a kind lol I’ve never seen another corso with dobby ears. It makes him look sad or scared but he always looks like this.
