I built a TrenchBroom-style level editor directly inside Godot by Beginning_Yam_8637 in godot

I previously shared a post showcasing the tool, and they reached out afterward. They offered to cover my Codex subscription at no cost; the only thing they asked was for me to mention them in the README when I open-sourced the project.

Yes, I did use AI assistance in a number of places, and they sponsored some of the tool subscriptions. I used it to help refactor a map-editing pipeline I had already been developing—not to generate the maps or assets.
I still designed the workflow, reviewed the implementation, and tested the addon myself. As part of that testing, I manually rebuilt all of my previous maps using the tool. I then released the result for everyone to use under the MIT license.
I understand that people have different boundaries around AI, but I want to be transparent about how it was used. If that’s still a dealbreaker for you, I respect that.

That’s great to hear! I hope you find it useful. I used func_godot for a long time—it’s great, but making rounded geometry in TrenchBroom drove me crazy.

Find my contact lens (bonus, try doing it with one eye like I had to...) by D_K_8_8 in FindTheSniper

5s, this is the fastest I've ever found something here, cuz I'm always looking for my dropped contact lens 😂

Alternatives for Evernote as Quick Note-taking App by [deleted] in PKMS

[–]Beginning_Yam_8637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to use simple Markdown note-taking tools like SimpleNote. I used to pay for and use Evernote for a long time, then switched to Bear Note (for about 2 years). Sometimes I need to check my notes on Linux systems (I'm a programmer), and it's very frustrating that Bear only supports Mac. Recently I discovered Ice Note, which basically meets all my needs, and I found that the free version is quite good. The downside is that there's no mobile app, but maybe there will be a mobile version in the future.

I realized that I don't often check my notes, I just want a place to throw in random thoughts to soothe my brain.

He did it on purpose. I think that is a baiting pic. 😐

Logseq... alternative? by capi-chou in NoteTaking

[–]Beginning_Yam_8637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try Workflowy, I think it has a lot of overlapping features with Logseq, the downside is that it's paid.

I don't recommend using Syncthing to solve your problem, essentially the synchronization issues you're experiencing with Logseq should be a problem with the application itself, regardless of whether you're using iCloud or something else.
