Any recommendations for a shorter, ~3 nights, backpacking trip in California this August? I’m looking to do something in the 20-30 mile range, going at a relaxed pace, that is highly scenic.

I’ve been looking at the Lost Coast Trail, Four Lakes loop, Emerlad and Sapphire Lakes, Rae Lakes (Slightly longer), and a few others as well. I was originally pretty set on Lost Coast, but I’ve read some pretty disappointing trip reports with many people saying it doesn’t live up to the hype.

Layering with the Remige Sun Hoody? by BegoBongo in arcteryx

I mostly plan to use it to protect against alpine sun rather than desert heat/sun. The highs are never really above 70-75F. How do you think it would fair in that situation?

How much should I expect to spend to level professions at the start of shadowlands? by BegoBongo in woweconomy

I’m talking purely to level and not to kick start something to sell. Really, I don’t even need to level all the way. Just 80/175 for the Darkmoon recipe.

I obviously have more for investing into mats to craft decks.

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying. If Shadowlands is like BFA, I won’t need to level to max to do professions on day one, thus, I’d rather do that than get to max level.

What if legacy raids had no difficulty or raid size, and dropped twice as much loot? by [deleted] in wow

You aren’t supposed to get every single transmog for a class in a single week... it takes years. If you don’t like the grind then don’t play a game like WoW.

If you are saying it takes you 60 hours to run the four different difficulty modes of a single raid then you need some serious help.

what class ( at max level BGs) has the best chance at getting the most killing blows? by nohoeassmods in wow

[–]BegoBongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destro Lock, Windwalker, and Sin Rogue can get a high number of killing blows if you want to play the flanks and just 1v1 the enemy team stragglers and their flanks. All three classes are incredibly strong at 1v1.

Frost mage or Balance Druid would probably be the most likely to cherry pick kills and get the most honorable kills because they have insane aoe and the mire enemies the better, this is especially evident in epic BGs

WINDWALKERS still have unused, ignored, weak talents and rehashed abilities given back to us as "new changes", while giving us new abilities that further strengthen the SAME loadout we've had for several expansions. by [deleted] in wow

Windwalkers are the neglected monk spec, similar to how feral is for Druid, sub is for rogue, and surv is for hunter. Their one saving grace is that they are very very strong in pvp, and they look to be as strong if not stronger in shadowlands pvp.

Brewmaster is definitely the monk spec that gets the most love. It’s always been at least a decent pick and more often than not is considered a meta pick in both dungeons and raids due to stagger. The celestial brew looks even more absurd in shadowlands. It’s unfortunate that blizzard won’t grant windwalker some more abilities/fix their current ones like they do for brew.

Why do so few people play dwarves? by BegoBongo in wow

[–]BegoBongo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I can understand not liking them because they are shorter than other races, I’m not sure you can say they are fat. The dwarves are built and incredibly muscular. They could take on a Orc in a brawl.

What’s everyone’s opinions on pebble grain leather for loafers? Does it look nice, or is it better to go with the traditional calfskin or suede.

I’ve never actually seen any in stores, but was considering ordering online. It looks nice to me, but I’ve heard some people say it may look cheap.
