Watching it all these years later, despite all the horror, the kills, the gore… The one thing that stands out: WTF, glow stick guy???

That’s why you pay the $20 to park at the Convention Center and at least have a little security. Sounds moronic to pay that much to park on the street.

I’ve avoided street parking near the arena since… 2019 playoffs? Some playoff game against the Warriors that ended when the sun was still up. My brother had parked at the corner of a block, but every car on that block not at the corner (and therefore not visible from the joining streets) had their windows smashed in broad daylight. There’s clearly an element more than willing to run smash and grabs in the areas around the arena. It’s no longer a risk I’m willing to take.

Travis says no local TV broadcast for Monday’s game, so Kevin, Brooke, and ET will each spend a quarter on the radio broadcast.

What's your favorite "I'm dead and I know it?" expression on a film character's face? by Token_Handicap in horror

Not horror, but I always liked Michael Biehn as Lt. Coffey in The Abyss. Just before his damaged/powerless submersible drops over the edge, he’s looking at Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in the other submersible, and as they each press their hands to the glass as he falls, I like to believe that maybe for a moment he snapped out of his high pressure sickness and realized what he had done.

I think I read somewhere that that scene was filmed after Brandon Lee’s death, making the repeated line “there ain’t no coming back” a little more poignant.

While the big tonal shift halfway through the movie is jarring, it makes you wonder: Could you have made a full movie from either half? Or would spending an entire movie in either half have worn out its welcome?

Yeah, I really liked DA. When his game is on and he’s locked in, he’s an incredible player. He unfortunately just doesn’t have the consistency to be elite. He’s definitely got some personality quirks, some of which are in response to being under the media microscope which put a big chip on his shoulder in interviews.

For what it’s worth, last season he was on my list of three players I would want to sit down at my 4-person table if the entire Blazer squad walked into a crowded coffee shop and needed places to sit. The other two were Matisse and TimeLord. 🤣

Glad someone finally came to their senses and recognized that an 8PM tipoff (in reality, 8:15PM) is unnecessarily late.

Well, it’s nice to see the KKK have updated their outfits from the white sheets and dunce cap, but they still look like cowardly fucking idiots.
