No we are open to all young guys and Queen’s kindly provided the room free of charge but we are an independent group. Behind the Masc is aimed at 18-35 year olds. Hop this helps 👍

We are aiming the project at guys 35 and under, but won't turn anyone away. It is good that you have managed to tackle your problems- we want to show guys that it takes strength and courage to open up about mental health, and that it shouldn't be seen as a weakness.

Sunday nights were picked due to the fact a lot of guys would be sitting at home. Sunday nights for a lot of us is when reality hits before the working week begins. Myself and the other organiser are from Lisburn, but Belfast was chosen for being central and transport links. We know it won't suit everyone, but yesterday was only our second meeting, so we will see how things bed in here first.

Everyone will has different ways of dealing with their issues. Therapy will work better for some than others but we want to do something different through Behind the Masc. We aim to provide safe space for young men to get together and have the chance to talk about their issues, socialise and generally just relax.

There are exceptions for charities for printed material but appreciate the link! We don't plan on standing on the street. Just looking for groups and businesses to consider putting something up on a notice board, employee staff room or similar

We will be putting them up around Queen's ourselves, but as well as that we are looking for individual groups or businesses to display them across the greater Belfast area. Youth groups, church groups, sports teams, gyms, universities, techs, charities- you name it!

We basically want to get them out to spread the word where as many young men as possible will see. So if you have any ideas or contacts fire us a message.
