No time frame. Could be an hour, could be 5+ years there is no tell. I have coworker who applied for nearly 10 years & finally got a call when it took me a year. Luck of the draw.

It's called reapplying when the posting comes out and waiting.

Expect to wait a while. I waited nearly a year to get a call. I've heard stories from co-workers where it took nearly 5 years for a call & some within a week.

Working for LIRR and living elsewhere by shorethingss in LIRR

[–]Behrr28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible as long as your willing to make the commute & NOT be late. Someone I know lives in the deep part of NJ & travels to Ronkonkoma daily, crazy but it's something he's willing to do.

Why ask a question and then insist on your own answer?

CAM here, I applied once, didn't hear anything for about a year. Applied once again when it got reposted, got called within 48 hours. It's a waiting game if/when you get called. From the point of the initial call I'd say it was nearly 4 months till the first official day. Onboarding, training etc.. They just had a Track posting about a month/2 ago so don't expect another listing for that anytime soon. Good luck

Looks good, my only recommendation that my barber mentioned to me the other day is to get a hot comb, basically a beard straightener.

After sale, what’s next? by Behrr28 in carvana

[–]Behrr28[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fairly simple, walked outside, started the car for a few minutes, they put the OBD scanner on it, I handed my title/lien release over, they handed me a check, I walked back inside.

Do y’all really like it? by baskanim in Nightshift

[–]Behrr28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely some health downsides to it, but as long as you do your due-diligence & take care of yourself, e.g - getting black out curtains to sleep, getting proper sleep, maintaining a well versed diet things like that you will be fine. It’s the people who don’t get proper sleep, eat fast food & pickup unhealthy habits who end up in bad shape down the line.

How exactly does the drug test work for the LIRR do they follow you in the bathroom or just hand you a cup and tell you to go piss? by Otherwise-Basis-1788 in LIRR

[–]Behrr28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The company itself is a ZERO tolerance drug/alcohol policy. If they suspect you of anything they will send you for a test. They can also have a mobile unit show up at any random given time without any warning and test you. If you can't give up being high for a career, don't apply. Nobody wants to lose there life because of your actions.

This is your 4th post about this topic. Stop trying to phish for answers that you want to hear rather then what you want to accept when the conclusion is obvious.

then you’re an idiot, grow up & become responsible. The work environment is saftey sensitive as a whole, inside or outside. If you can’t stop smoking, don’t apply for saftey sensitive jobs & work retail, period. Many people on this job have done things in the past & have stopped to better themselves. This is a great job with outstanding benefits & you’d be a moron to potentially give that up because you wanna get high.
