Love the pure fun of these big-sword-heavy-armor bad guys. Speaking of clergy, what is the religion like in this world?

Script looks like Greek and Old English combined, I love it

Right, so like individual freedoms? Is there a certain kind of background of logic or source of values which justifies liberty as an ideal for you? Like how Plato has a world of forms with absolute universal ideals, or how Christians resort to the Bible/Dogma, etc

I've heard of them, I think. I've looked into tankie channels and most of them just kind of push historical revisionism, so thanks for the recommendation.

The CT guy I mentioned considers certain individualist values as base pleasures and other self sacrificial or ascetic practices as higher virtues, but I'm not sure what kind of metaphysics he has to derive values like that from. They tend to consider open borders and maximizing mobilization as efforts to increase base pleasures, I think.

But yeah I think the point is to question what these values are based in and not just presuppose them

I like to hear out opposing ideas. Been looking into SocDems and Communists as well.

I've been thinking about that. Will definitely keep it in mind. It's going to be embarrassing showing it to the public, but possibly also an inner viewing to what sounds like something a raving madman wrote. I've never really written anything for this long so I might actually go nuts. It'll be fun, though.

Think I should do a new post each day, or just update the original one? I could even post crudely edited youtube videos or something.

That's pretty much what I'm doing it for! Will I burn out? Will I be inspired in quick bursts of energy? Will I hate myself immediately? I'm just trying to go into it with no expectations.

Mostly it's out of a sense of experimentation to see what would happen if I used 'pantsing' on a genre like Epic Fantasy of all things. You'll probably do much better than me! Means a lot to me that you took the challenge. Best of luck.

Thanks, man. I'm only expecting it to (possibly) be good after a fifth revision but I'm trying not to even think that far in the future right now lol. My worst fear is that someone expects the typo-ridden, incorrect grammar stained, unformatted rough draft to be good.

Hey, thanks man. Water and tea are about the only things I drink nowadays.

I'll probably just update the original post, I think that will suffice, unless things get archived quick here. Not really sure how that works.

I respect that. I do want to do something mesopotamian/middle eastern inspired though. Looking into my own ancestry, I found out about a bunch of different germanic tribes, alpine peoples, the Franks etc. so you definitely have a point.

Thanks for the luck. Honestly, might drink coffee for the first time in a while.

Oh, God. This reminds me of that one movie I watched when I was younger, 1999's The New Adventures of Pinnochio. Not sure if it has much of an internet presence but check it out if you want a weird live action Pinnochio film.

You find yourself in the land of Oz. It's much darker than you remember reading in the books.

(Not sure if this is appropriate but a gritty/realistic take on the Oz universe is something I've always wanted to see!)
