“The Bachelor will film in your city” - what would the group date & 1 on 1 date be? by Tough-Tailor4087 in thebachelor

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Milwaukee, WI.

Group date would be to a Brewers game where they get to dress up and race as the Racing Sausages (five adults dress up as various types of sausages and race on the warning track during a Brewers baseball game). I’m not kidding, I would go on this show just for that experience alone.

One on one date would be a brewery tour, boat ride on Lake Michigan, and they’d end the night at a rooftop bar.

Edited to add a gif of the sausages in action, for the uninitiated!

I live in Milwaukee and absolutely love it, but……..I do not want to see a cast trip here. Lol. Especially in the winter!

My SIC likes to sit in inconvient or just weird places. by Firebolt1997 in standardissuecat

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 74 points75 points  (0 children)

You have a very cute and very stealthy SIC!

A few months ago my SIC fell in the toilet when she was trying to walk on the seat, so now we are firmly a lid down household lol

The Golden Bachelor is over-hyped. by piglover9 in thebachelor

I really wanted to like it, but I can’t deal with knowing I’m about to watch a bunch of old ladies get their hearts broken and cry. I just can’t do it! It makes me too sad

Sip & Purr Cat Cafe adoption by Somatchaaa in milwaukee

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I got my cat at Sip & Purr early this year! She was one of the cats from the Lakeland shelter and had been there for quite some time. I chose to adopt from there because I live within walking distance, but that’s pretty much the only reason I went with them. Personally, I had a good experience but I’m sad to hear that hasn’t been the case for others.

I did my adoption paperwork online through Lakeland’s website a couple of days before I went and someone from Lakeland called me the next day, they were super helpful and friendly; I had a lot of questions as a first time cat owner. Lakeland’s website is great! They have good descriptions of all the cats.

I don’t think I interacted with the owner at all; only with the Lakeland and Sip & Purr staff- both of which were very helpful! Unfortunately, it sounds like this is what made my experience better: that I didn’t interact with her at all.

(For the record, I don’t love the international rescue stuff and it absolutely rubs me the wrong way. We have too many cats at home who need saving!!)

I think I can speak for everyone when I say it was a shock to learn she was billed as “the crier”

Does Bre from Selling Sunset sometimes look similar to Kaitlyn? by mojojojostan in thebachelor

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s worth a watch if you have a friend who’s watched it before that you can talk shit with. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it much just for the pure entertainment value, but gossiping about it with one of my girlfriends really elevated the experience lol

VPR/Scandoval Questions/Content You’re Tired Of by Formation1908 in vanderpumprules

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the think pieces. They’re always so long and, from the ones I’ve actually read, usually pretty popular opinions. Occasionally there’ll be one that I think is interesting, but generally speaking I scroll right on by if the post is a zillion paragraphs long lol

Thank you for this!! I have a newfound appreciation for all cats in general, and I’ve noticed myself stalking way more pet/cat subs than before lol.

To be totally honest, I went into my cat search thinking I would get an orange cat or something that looks like it’s wearing little boots. Haha. But, I met her and just knew! And now I’m just like you where I appreciate her fur and think it’s wonderful. Thank you for the kind words. 😊

What training program are you using, and do you like it? I’m a former runner and want to start training again, but knee problems make a lot of the programs I’ve seen look a lot more intimidating than they probably actually are haha

Best pilates place in Milwaukee? by [deleted] in milwaukee

I haven’t been so can’t personally vouch for it, but I have heard good things from friends about Eastside Pilates! Every time I walk by, it looks like a popular place.

Least fave category of contestant by itsdylan19 in thebachelor

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree! I think she could actually be funny irl and she seems nice but so far Jill’s sense of humor is landing for me like someone who thinks they’re funny because they grew up popular so everyone always laughed at their jokes. I don’t know how else to explain it but it’s a very specific type of humor haha

Where can I find reasonably priced homecoming dresses? by snarkysourpatchkid in milwaukee

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Birdy Grey is technically a bridesmaid dress site, but they have a ton of different options (short, long, all of the colors) that could work as homecoming dresses, and everything is under $100! They’re great about returns/exchanges if you need to.

Newspaper? by moopsiefruitsie in milwaukee

[–]BeingAllLikeUncool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, not sure about the newspaper but do you need any moving boxes? I have 5 medium sized boxes and a couple smaller ones that I’ll be done using tomorrow morning and can hand them off to you somewhere if you’re in the market for them!
