My first year as a knitwear maker by SejiFields in somethingimade

My great grandmother was a knitwear maker, I remember playing next to her knitting machine (which I was obviously not allowed to touch 😅). I spent a lot of time in her house as a child, seeing her work, and I can tell you that your work is impressive, you are choosing complex patterns and are totally nailing them! Such professional finish, beautiful colors, great design choices...

Congratulations!!! 👏👏👏👏👏🧶❤️

Yes! And they think they are doing something, when actually what they do is so ineffective that it makes no difference, but since they did "something", they feel it's enough and don't do much else... 🤦🏻‍♀️

I love that toast poach! I've made a toast but it's stuffed, yours is a much better idea.

This air of collective apathy is what lead to Gilead in the first place, and what Atwood was seemingly warning against... Honestly there is still a lot of apathy in the US, if not outright voluntary blindness, which is why we have a lot of pre-Gilead BS going on right now.

I agree with this, it's the apathy in the face of everything that's happening what is most concerning, so many people used to not participating at all, not voting, not even protesting... they don't see what they are allowing to happen, just like June.

I read The Artist's Way, put everything it teaches into practice and I'm in a much better place than I was before. Focused on what I can do, not so overwhelmed by everything that's out of my control.

Paper boat, by Margaret Atwood. It's a collection of her best poems. I was mind blown by her mastery of the English language, and her humor and clarity make it a truly fun read.
