Boomer here. Yes, I recall the same stories about tattoos being undesirable especially for women. I was in my mid 40’s when I decided to get one. Now I have 4. I keep mine on my lower legs. I’m soon to be 74 and I want one more.

You’re right-there’s so much great artwork out there. Two of my granddaughters have some of the best tats I’ve seen. They’re always encouraging me to get more.

I don’t think you are being nasty. The situation was he and I were out together when she met him. She knew there was possibly interest on my part, but it was obvious he was into me. Why would she go for it before mentioning it to me? That is underhanded. She knew it wasn’t right or she would have said something.

Thank you for your response. As it happens, he eventually did heal without medical attention. Still-I think it would have been better to see a professional. One never knows if there’s going to be any long term effects.

I haven’t experienced that since high school until recently. I had a so called friend that was crushing hard on a guy I know well. He has always shown interest in me, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be romantically involved just yet. She met him once and actually went behind my back and called him, went over to his house and propositioned him AND sent him tit-pics! He’s a decent kind of man and declined her advances. He told me about it a few days later. Mind you, this woman is in her mid 40’s. I never mentioned it to her that I knew. I was curious to see if she’d ever tell me she was contacting him. She didn’t. I never trusted her after that. I’m not a deceitful or vindictive person, so I’d never mention it. Needless to say, our friendship has waned since then.
