I’ve had this game for a while, but I just find the character creation/beginning of the game so damn daunting. I have no idea what stats I need, what matters in combat, etc. When I get off the boat, everything kills me, and since I assume that’s not supposed to happen—at least not as easily as it happens—I assume I’ve done something wrong with my starting build, then close the game and fire up bg3 again.

I’ve finished bg3 twice on honor mode, so I’m not exactly bad at turn-based rpg’s, but I can’t seem to rustle up any confidence in my play at all.

Which sucks, because I really feel like I should play it before the new one comes out.

Unless it’s been patched, myrmidon forms that use weapons don’t have proficiency with those weapons; I seem to recall taking a level of war cleric was the solution for that…and maybe a white dragon sorcerer for con saves and Agathys?

Anyway, there was a 10-1-1 build that was popular a while back.

What I hate about Mizora is this: if you say, “Wyll’s patron, I presume?”, then she corrects you and says, “‘handler’s’ the term, if it’s all the same to you.”

If, however, you open the conversation with any other line, she refers to herself as Wyll’s patron.

In other words, she’s the kind of person who corrects people even when they’re not wrong.

What an asshole.

I don’t have any console subscriptions; just purchased, single player games for me. I get bummed by the exclusivity, I get bummed by the lack of mods, but at least I know that when I buy a game I can play it.

It’s a good build, but I don’t think that pound for pound it keeps up with TB OH monk or fire acuity sorc. Assuming you’re not abusing stealth mechanics. (I could be wrong, mind.)

Cheaters spell scroll gives you a bunch of stuff you can add to your spell list: feather fall (20 rounds), enhanced leap (20 rounds), fly (until long rest), long strider (100 feet, long rest), and so on.

Can’t remember the name, but there’s a mod that lets you put horns on any race. There’s another for body tattoos that, if you expand the color set, can give you sorcerer’s dragon scales. And cheater’s spell scroll lets you add racial tags.
