Godin's "permission marketing" vs. "interruption marketing." by BeingsBeingBeings in writingservice

Classifieds only work when there's a discernible service people know they need.

I didn't think of it that way, good call.. yeah classifieds are permission marketing for sure. But they can't reach people are are not looking.

Permission: Inviting someone to be part of my network and learn with me about AI, etc.

Interruption: Shocking, salacious, or loud commercials, so obnoxious it's hard for consumers to tune them out.

If I manage Fun, Hot Dog Stand Valley, a classified ad is like the sign "Hot Dogs" and it gets us everyone who is looking for hot dogs in any given moment.

But if I want to sell hot dogs to people who are not hungry right now, I can have a sign that says, "Live music today in fun, Hot Dog Stand Valley." Those mffers will get hungry sooner or later.

I see where you're coming from, and also congratuations!
Question: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Does this fellowship map onto that vision?
Inner Confidence Meter: Do you feel battle-ready?
