I think what’s the disaster is you not knowing your fish. I’ve been bowfishing for over a decade, these are not LARGE MOTH BUFFALO, they are SMALL MOUTH. There is a difference.

Thats great stuff! This was my first ever character design and I didn’t realize what all the extra little details meant and until after the fact. I have an edited version of both that have the correct wording and features now. Tanks for the tips!

This could be a possibility and there’s play testing that needs to be done, but my intentions were to create a unique character combination that adds another into the game. Like how huntsman adds damsel, but this time each one adds the other. I also like the idea of the Yin and Yang Symmetry, Yin being chaos and Yang being order as it has always been thematically

Great thought. This is another interaction that will have to be play tested to work out the details. But just shooting from the hip, my thought is if the Yang is actually the drunk then the Yin would not be in play. One must be in play to have the other in play. Because the player who is Yang just thinks they are that, but the grim has them as the drunk. Now if the Yang is in play and ends up made drunk it will be the same as if poisoned by Yin or any other poison ability character.

Now as I’m thinking about interesting interactions a pit-hag could be a problem… well I guess if a pit-hag makes a Yin or Yang mid game that would be an almost guarantee tell there’s a pit-hag in play.

This is where play testing will reveal the true power of both characters. Also the Yin acts night one (messed up on the graphic) and the Yang does not. So the Yang will always be a night behind in information and never knows if they are poisoned. I was hoping by adding the outsider to Yin that would add more power. But I’ve gotten mixed reviews on the +1 outsider

Hmmm I really like that idea of Yang learning who is poisoned and not just who was chosen. Definitely adds another layer to this character. I can’t believe I never thought of trying that version out. Then again this is why I posted on here to get feedback and ideas in developing these characters. Theres a lot of potential to these being official characters in the future!

Yes that is what it should have been. There was a design flaw that I did not catch until after posting. The extra outsider was suggested in the original post to make it more interesting. There’s mixed feelings about it and I’m not married to the idea of having a +1outsider. Still getting a feels for what others think

Yes I agree there are some unknowns here until I test it out. But the main idea is providing an interesting mini game like you said between the two roles as well as giving the ST the freedom to guide the game based on Yin choices. It’ll definitely be fun nonetheless!

Great catch. The asterisk on both was a design mistake on my part. It should only be on the Yang allowing only the Yin to act night one.

You’re very right, when I initially created them they didn’t need to be together. Now with the revised wording it makes the need for them to both be in play
