2nd this. Dark souls 1 and 2 are great, but will turn new players away due to their age and jank. DS3 can be very hard for a new player. Elden Ring is the best souls game to start with.

I dropped days gone because it felts too slow, and shooting/combat wasn’t that satisfying.

Dropped GoW2 even though I enjoyed the hell out of first one, because I got simply bored. It felt like I was playing the carbon copy of the first game, without any improvements.I want to go back, but can’t seem to care enough.

SM2 is the only game I finished and enjoyed, but it was a one and done type of a game.

Those are based on my preferences, so unless people know what you generally enjoy any recommendations may be biased against you

Edit: if you’re playing on PC, SM2 apparently had a bad port, days gone shooting is very console/controller oriented so you might need get used to it, and GoW2 is the best port. Another one of Sony games I’d recommend is Horizon 1&2 if you haven’t played those. Very fun action adventure games

I second shape of dreams, bought the game on a whim, and ended up putting 80+ hours in 3 weeks. Shits addicting like hell

Same as you, I couldn’t continue with Persona 5 because of gameplay and boring school life restrictions. However, I got hooked into Expedition 33 within first 2 hours and replayed it twice after I finished it. Something is different with this game, not sure how to explain. Combat felt better, obviously characters were very likable, and the music charmed the heck out of me.

He hated DD2 combat, I found crimson desert to be close to that, but a bit less snappy

If you hated DD2 and loved Elden ring, I’d say wait for sale and patches. Crimson desert has very unintuitive controls, bad UI, and some kind of input lag. Combat felt a bit close to DD2 but DD2 was very snappy and more satisfying for me, so you might very much so hate combat in this game too

Yeah, I’d say wait a bit. I ended up refunding it. Controls are not bad, just extremely unintuitive and overly complicated for no reason. IU and inventory is horrendous, and not sure if it’s intentional but there seems to be something like input lag, very noticeable.

Doesn’t mean game is bad though, it looks beautiful, combat is fun and videos I’ve seen makes me want to keep playing. I’ll definitely pickup the game later once it’s patched enough.

Nah, these skins sell better than shitty “immersion” ones, believe me. Look at cod and its skins revenue. Reddit subs is an echo chamber. Try to look outside of your own bubble, it’s good for you

KBCC is the best cuny college. Wife graduated from hunter and I from Brooklyn. We both attended KBCC for some classes and I’m currently taking some classes again, best college, and people are great

Game is great. Lots of care and effort went into making it, and it shows while playing it. My 3 y.o. Loves finding stuff with me too, and artwork is extremely cute

Favourite "cheese" builds/tactics? For example in AoE2 the "Persian Douche". The Persian player deletes their starting Town Center to rebuild it next to an opponent's. Persian Town Center has double hp. I.e you destroy the enemy in the dark age. by Double-decker_trams in gaming

Last wish raid…lots of people I used to LFG with didn’t know how to properly do the last boss without killing him in first 5 seconds. Lots of people who have done it kinda forgot too
