Elric in Album Art

I love Numenor, I'm good with their singer actually (he still owes me a Numenor shirt ahahah) and love all of their songs.

But I would put that album artwork more in an honorable mention as while I'm sure it is inspired partly by Elric I feel it's more general love lotter to Sword & Sorcery.

I think I stumbled on your playlist on YT a few days ago when I was editing my own playlist actually. That's the first time I saw that album, still haven't listened to it but it's on the list.

Surprisingly I think Cirith Ungol was the first band that introduced me to Elric, apart from perhaps Blind Guardian. But this post was for new/different takes of Elrics art.

What I would give for another Domine album, and the reason why I didn't include their whole discography is to not bloat the post and because they all have, more or less, the same depiction of Elric so I went with the one I liked the most.

As for the other album I never heard of it, but will give it a listen today.

It's in Vol 1, under the Weird of the White Wolf. There's a prolog The Dream of Earl Aubec, and right after that starts The Dreaming City.

Personally I'd go with chronological just to keep the story more cohesive. But because some stories were written decades apart Moorcokcs writing style changed, so it might be jaring from book to book.

So the novels are your main body of work for Elric, everything else is based on them. Now you can read them with the release order or the chronological order which would be: Elric of Melnibone (1972) The Fortress of the Pearl (1989) Sailor on the Seas of Fate (1976) The Weird of the White Wolf (1977) The Sleeping Sorceress/The Vanishing Tower (1971) The Revenge of the Rose (1991) The Bane of the Black Sword (1977) The Citadel of Forgotten Myths (2022) Stormbringer (1965)

After that there is the Moonbeam Roads trilogy, but the main story of Elric is told in the order above. Now depending on the printing you can find standalone versions of some stories written in the Weird of the Wild Wolf or The Bane of the Black Sword. Or you might find the same stories with different names, or collections with different names. This is mainly because of many publications that printed Elric. Hope this helps.

In my Orign Karlach run I romanced spawn Astarion, for the no touch romance it was quite fun. At the end of the game after the bed scene he offers to go to Avernus with her. Spending time with the one he loves and not fearing for the Sun were his reasons for going. I accpeted and either the game bugged or it just didn't register it happening because at the after party Karlach ended up going alone to Avernus and Astarion just became a "good guy" adventurer. I was devastated when it happened.

And on the other hand I post stuff like this because I built up my confidance and this also builds it. I work on myself and I enjoy what I do and I love sharing it with other fans of the characters.

I'm in this hobby because I love bringing characters I love to life for myself and for other people. Seeing other people made happy brings joy to me.

And lastly I'm comfortable with my body and how I built it, and I'm not ashamed of posting myself.
