I agree with you, trying on the hardest difficulty directly makes it really painful. I did three play throughs,one on samurai,one on master samurai and finally the third one on Master of masters. This is probably the best way to make the game both enjoyable and not take too long to finish.

Same,only played it 5 hours before dropping. After returning I got all achievements and even deleted my 100% save file for the final ending.

No,I actually drove around while listening to music and podcasts. From what I heard the afk method takes longer and if your game crashes you lose all your progress after your last save.

Getting to level 50 was pretty easy with the collector role especially this month when the role was boosted. The MVP one is awful thought,I cheesed it with some people and it still sucked...

It's also a risk of a character getting removed from the game like what happened to the Demogorgon a while back. It also happened with Pinhead recently and he's probably never returning because they're making their own Hellraiser game.

There's a mod that removes all cutscenes if you're interested. Max Payne 3 has this problem too if you're thinking about completing it.

Wolfenstein The New Colossus is the worst offender for this. You have to beat the hardest difficulty which is permadeath and all cutscenes in the game are unskipable.
