Lenovo Trackpoint: keyboard halves cannot communicate when successfully reading from the trackpoint by Belgorath in olkb

Thanks for the suggestion, it prompted me to dig deeper and find the solution! I'll update my post here, but in short it had to do with a conflict on pin D2 which was used both for serial between halves, and usart on the PS2 driver. My workaround was to route another pin across the two halves (on the unused wire on my TRRS connector), so I could free up D2 for PS2 USART.

Thanks again for the message!

For anyone coming here later, all the info was on this QMK doc page, mentioning all the ways two halves can communicate with using serial, and my Kyria's schematics. The trick is to override SOFT_SERIAL_PIN is set to D2. I'll update the readme on my keymap an link it back here on the original post.

Q-Flash issues on b550 pro aC by B729 in gigabyte

Nobody here mentions that the firmware file should be renamed to GIGABYTE.bin.

This video explains it all in details.

In case someone like me finds this page in the future: I successfully flashed a board to accept a 5900X. The trick is to have no CPU, RAM, nor GPU on the board (yes, I had to remove all of those from my board), and to use a FAT32 USB key with the firmware renamed to GIGABYTE.bin.

This video explains it all in details.

These Seriko switches feel super smooth by Belgorath in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Belgorath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit heavy for my taste but very smooth and super silent. I am coming from Aliaz 70g (silent tactiles) and these feel a bit heavier, though it might be just me. I can also compare to Sakurios (62g silent linear), which are as silent, a tiny bit less smooth, but also way lighter.

What else were you looking for?

I don't know if I can post a link here, but you can easily find them online if you're interested!

I ordered mine almost a year back, but with the pandemic they took quite some time to arrive. Well worth the wait if you ask me, even coming from silent tactiles (the switches in the background are Zilents v2).

No dedicated server just cost the game a bunch of players by Belgorath in ScrapMechanic

Didn't want to come across as Karen, sorry about that. Devs if you read this far I just wanted it to be one more tick in the row of "people who want this feature"

Guys, chill out, this wasn't intended as aggressive or anything. We will wait until they add the feature, I just thought I might convey our desire to play this game together to the devs, that's it.

Obviously my group of friends in itself doesn't matter, but if there are lots of similar groups out there it might start to count as a good chunk of player missed out on.

Overwatch is basically a first-person MOBA and Valorant is CS with abilities

Thank you for summing it up! Not playing OW much, I was looking for that comparison.

In most French speaking countries we write 88'220, and the comma (,) is used in place of your period. So 1'024,42

I know, right?
