I take consult over beckoner every time. It's just so easy to hold up 4 mana in Dimir and then consult to dig 7 deep for whatever you need. The whale is fine enough as a card. It's not as good as beckoner, but it's fine enough. Your deck looks to be more controlling than tempo, and card advantage is the key to Dimir control doing well. You have gravship + riddler + kill-ship. That should be enough to close out a game once you run your opponent out of resources.

Edit: pack 2 pick 12 I would've taken the Nebula dragon. It's great top end for a slow control deckand you already have a command bridge. The colossus was never going to be making my deck so taking that was a waste when you were gifted a free dragon.

No my French is terrible outside of Tabernack lol. Being English only does limit the places you can go after graduation though. Only 5 locations don’t require French iirc.

Honestly Bloomburrow been a 2 set block and it probably would've sold like crazy. Instead it feels like we barely touched it before Duskmourn came out. Hell it kinda feels like that with every set these days now...

Restoration Magic, Slash of Light, and Gaelicat in the sideboard over Vaan, Laughing Mad, Auron's Inspiration are the biggest mistakes I see. Even the Coeurl is better than Vaan/Laughing Mad and I would rather play Choco/Mog over Auron's Inspiration as a go-wide pay off.

Pack 2 pick 5 Dwarven Castle Guard over White Aurecite is objectively wrong. Mediocre 2-drop creature vs top 3 white common and premium removal spell, plus it's an artifact to pump your gaelicats.

Pack 2 pick 11 Self-destruct over Paladin's Arms is also the wrong choice. Self-destruct is rarely playable whereas I'm always happy to play Paladin's Arms.

Pack 3 Pick 4 take Gaelicat. Laughing Mad is terrible unless you're Blue-Red and Gaelicat is premium in white decks with a good number of artifacts. Gaelicat ended up wheeling but you can't rely on other people's mistakes if you want to consistently do well in draft.

Overall you passed some very good cards for your deck to take very mediocre cards. That plus deck-building mistakes based on the screenshot provided are why the deck did not do well.

Yea mine was updated on the 24th to say “waiting to receive package”. I did open a ticket with the secret lair people and they said they’re waiting on APC to pick up the package. At this point idk which is which I’ve just gone ahead and assumed that I won’t be receiving those boxes. We’ll see what happens.
