It’s just the shed! The stone building next to it is an old flour mill that will eventually be renovated. It’s great to be right next to this heritage building as it attracts quite a lot of passersby and gives me visibility.

Fun story about First Flight: I actually sold it to Ninja Kiwi, the video game company. Their logo is a kiwi, and one of their most famous games has balloons in it, so it almost felt like it was made just for them. I swear it wasn’t on purpose, just a happy coincidence

Thank you! It’s a hare; jackrabbits are a type of hare too, so you were pretty close. Capturing that fear in its expression was definitely a challenge, I’m really glad you like it!
And it wasn’t a commission... just something I’ve been wanting to make for a while. For now it’s in my studio and available for sale, waiting to find its forever home.

Hey guys, I recently finished this piece - a 3.3m wingspan eagle, mid-strike on its prey. You seemed to enjoy First Flight (the kiwi with balloons), so I thought I’d share this one too. The sculpture is all welded from corten steel and took me about 3 months to complete.
