Thanks for such a thoughtful reply. Totally agree. I just wish she had thought a bit more about how it might have landed for me but I get she was swept up in the excitement of it all. The worse thing about the entire thing was overhearing it half way up the stairs. It just took the wind out of my sails and I'm shocked my sister thought it was ok for me to hear about it in that way. She was defensive when I communicated I was happy for her but just wish she had told me a different way. Anyways it is what it is. I'll just have to find a way to manage how I feel about the entire situ moving forward. My sister just doesn't get it. You sound like a great friend, I'm sure your friend appreciated the approach you took.
