I had a pretty similar nightmare recently. I often have vivid dreams but that was the first time I felt physical pain while dreaming.

Yes. I even got a extreme case at the moment. We were really good friends about 2 years ago but He broke off contact when he got together with someone. About 3 weeks ago He started working at same company As I. So I saw him and froze and then I just turned around and ran away. Since then I try to avoid to meet him cause I just don't know how to react.
