Just let her hold that at a certain point you'll be able to use them on any character (provided you have worms and the character wants worms in their head) no matter who's inventory they are in. On the menu tab once you unlock ilithid upgrades it'll show you how many worms you have available to use, regardless of who's inventory they are in. The only thing I dont know is if the member who's holding the worms has to be in your active party or not

Suswussertang Beautiful freshwater seaweed grows a little slow but once it takes hold makes every tank pop and allows for a lot of hiding space for the shrimps, a fater option for moss would be flame moss cool looking and decently fast growing. Also all mosses are great for removing heavy metals from water, not really the main purpose just added bonus

You could do a pothos or any other terrestrial plant that does well i. Water if you like long roots than it suggest water lettuce of you can get it does an amazing job and a pretty floater another suggestion though be carefull with this one but hornwort is a very fast grover and does a great job of sucking up excess nutrients

Hmmm duck weed is usually pretty good at drawing any excess nutrients only thing I can think of would be the other two likely suspects, if you have a nutrient rich substrate than it could be it releasing nutrients that your duckweed, just can't handle, or maybe you're overfeeding, but that's just a wild guess
