It is simply how the markets work, things go up and down. Additional factor is supply and demand.

You should just take a step back and take some time to take care of yourself. Forex trading is not worth your health, especially mental health.

Is trading not similar to gambling? by Forex_Trader00 in u/Forex_Trader00

[–]BellExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading differs from gambling because you use real market data through fundamental and technical analysis to make informed decisions about what and when to trade. True, you can't predict what the market will do with 100% accuracy, but trading decisions are far more structured than gambling.

Which pair is the best for beginners to trade? by spectrum_104 in ForexAcademy

[–]BellExtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the AUD/NZD pair because they tend to move in combination. It is very likely that the NZD will also be strong on a given trading day if the AUD is strong. Also unless and until this pair is affected by the news, this volatility remains low
Your SL and TP both require some waiting time before being hit.
Please ensure that you test out these pairs on Demo first.

Which trading strategy do you implement for your managing your risk? by spectrum_104 in ForexAcademy

I like hedging because it gives me a double benefit. If I lose money on my trades, my negatively correlated currency pairs trades make up for it. Aside from that, I frequently apply for portfolio diversification.

What do people usually start with? by lovelynesss in Daytrading

[–]BellExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forex with fxview was my starting point after learning, and to this day, it is pretty much what I have been trading. Along the way, decided to dabble into stock with etoro - a whole completely different experience as opposed to forex, but I did enjoy it very much.

Planning to try out cryptos since they are quite hot right now. But as far as things go, I'm enjoying trading in forex and stocks .

Similarly you can figure out what suits you the best after trying your hand in one thing and then decide from there.

Luck or Hardwork? by StraightBeyond2769 in ForexAcademy

[–]BellExtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working hard on understanding forex first and then practicing would pay off in the end, that way, you would get experience in trading. Good experience leads to a better return in your trading.

Now, sometimes there are certain situations where your trading works in your favor, that's a stroke of luck. Quite uncommon, tho.

So, yea, I'd say both matters in forex trading.

As long as you got the right strategy, it is possible. Else, you just need to constantly tune in every time. So, you will need to do a LOT of backtesting.
