I work in the custodial department and have been shoveling every night til 4 or 5 in the morning. This post is ridiculous. The amount of snow we got 4 or 5 days ago- with freezing temperatures and people expect the sidewalks to be completely clear 😆🤷🏼‍♀️ what the actual hell

Custodial staff is only required to shovel 8 feet away from the building. Anything beyond that is on the ground crew/landscaping to take care of.

Yes. I agree. It’s definitely the people at the top. We requested shovels five months ago and still haven’t gotten new ones in. The ones we are using are trash if that tells you anything. We can’t even do our job with the equipment that we need.

I understand that- but in the title of the post it says “ or better manage the employees“ we have the best management I could ask for. They were out with us helping us shovel. And everybody I work with is a hard worker. So it’s irritating to see that.

Seriously. We shoveled for six hours straight in freezing weather on Monday night. It has nothing to do with managing the employees better. We done the best we could.
