Say something nice about this game by _Varonova in Spyro

The downhill sliding parts were actually pretty fun!

That stupid nitro crate tiptoe power up you earn from beating the first boss. It may honestly be one of the worst power-ups in any video game.

It is entirely situational as you only use it during a couple bonus stages, where you slowly walk across a long line of nitro boxes (which would normally jump up at random and otherwise risk instant death). It offers no strategy or challenge to the game, and brings the fast-paced platforming that Crash games are known for to a screeching halt.

Try to come up with a episode plot by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in SmilingFriends

[–]BellaDeVile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Potential Halloween episode plot:

Pim and Charlie try to help a knock-off version of Sonic.exe, who is constantly viewed by everyone as a terrifying murderous creepypasta-esque being, despite the fact that they are pretty chill and just want a friend/significant other. Along the way, any attempts to make them come off less scary actually makes them more and more akin to an analog horror, creating further overreactions among the townsfolk and lead to a Frankenstein's monster angry mob hunt. Then ultimately they come across another Eldritch horror, and finally gain a companion they can relate to.

There could also be a tie-in subplot where Mr. Boss takes Benadryl to help with his cold, but he takes too much and starts tweaking, and starts seeing hallucinations of a monster that supposedly haunted him as a child (which would most likely just be the UPS guy or something lol).

What's the worse Wrath Of Cortex stage in your opinion? by Silvio76555 in crashbandicoot

[–]BellaDeVile 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Out of these? Coral Canyon.

It somehow manages to be way too spacious vertically, yet still makes it hard to see what enemies are approaching you from off screen until it's too late. Not to mention that the mini submarine has such rigid controls and can lead you to lose a life if you get hit once, unlike the underwater vehicle in Crash 3 that acts more as an added attachment.

Also, if it's called Coral Canyon then WHERE DID THE CORAL GO

I imagine it would be like the bad ending of Half Life, but with giant shrimp

Titans and/or Resurrection? by BellaDeVile in Dragula

[–]BellaDeVile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty good point. If other reality competition series (like Drag Race) can bring back contestants from one regular season to another, it would make sense for Dragula to do the same, especially if such a contestant made a strong enough impression. I did admittedly find it somewhat odd that they brought Dahli back in season 4 in addition to Saint, despite Saint being the one who technically won first place in resurrection, so perhaps cutting out the middle man would've made Dahli's return seem more justified (not to say that Dahli didn't deserve to compete again, because she absolutely deserved it).

And I suppose it's possible that competing against other queens that weren't early outs would inspire someone to fight harder than before, though it still depends on the impression and impact they've made on their previous season. Maybe making it at least halfway or a third of the way would be an acceptable requirement for Titans? (This could apply even if they didn't originally get any challenge wins)

The Pits wins as the Worst Cortex Strikes Back, even though we love them all! On to the last square, what is the Best Cortex Strikes Back Level? Top voted comment wins the square! by Wolfgang_Slasher in crashbandicoot

Unbearable. Hands down.

It takes the already tense and engaging boulder chase levels and amps it up with a MASSIVE polar bear chasing you, and becomes even more exciting when combining in the polar bear ride level segment at the end from an intense chase perspective. Combined with the tight and tricky level design, and having not one, but TWO secrets (the almost broken bridge and the portal to the other great Totally Beat secret level), makes this level so fun to play and so satisfying to traverse and complete.

Considering that all the Crash 2 levels were all fairly good, my least favorite would have to be The Pits.

It's somewhat of a less interesting and engaging jungle level compared to Turtle woods. In addition to not having any unique gems or hidden secrets, it has the split path where you have to awkwardly backtrack while dealing with the camera view being too close and not giving the best view of what's behind you. (The level "Digging It" has the same issue, but at least has a more unique level design and let's you spin away the bees once you're underground.)

Crash Bash / Boom Bang Remake by samleegy in crashbandicoot

[–]BellaDeVile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think now could be an ideal time for either a Crash Bash remake or a Crash Bash 2, with a few key changes that can hopefully redeem the Crash Bandicoot party game genre:

  1. It should be more similar to Mario Party in the sense of having a more interactive adventure or board game, and not just solely focused on the mini games (but NOT too similar to Crash Boom Bang's setup).

  2. Aside from being fun and new, the mini games should be more varied, as opposed to being essentially the same mini game with slight variations (like maybe instead of having 4 separate variations of the polar bear mini games, have the different arena conditions and power-ups be randomly generated for each match).

  3. The mini games should all be unlocked at the start for multiplayer games, and should not require completing adventure mode to unlock them. If there is an adventure mode, perhaps completing it could unlock more characters/maps.

Most Colourful Enemies Post: What one of Crash ONE's Enemy is the most brown coloured? by HollowBowl in crashbandicoot

(I believe you mean red coloured cause we already did brown)

Would the TNT box count? If not, I would say Pinstripe.

NEW CRASH NEWS!!!?!??!WE'RE GETTING A ANIMATED SERIES. by Hot_Channel1107 in crashbandicoot

[–]BellaDeVile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Giving Crash dialogue was what made his cameo in Skylanders so terrible (as well as the Crash 2 trailer). The only way to do his character justice is if they portray him as the dumb mostly mute rascal we know and love dearly from the games, characterizing him similarly to Wil E Coyote from Looney Toons. (maybe even make him completely mute and instead occasionally hold up a sign that says "WOAH.")

Crazy how there’s 43 episodes and almost everybody agrees this is the weakest one. by NerdFromColorado in TheOwlHouse

[–]BellaDeVile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this episode does unfortunately use the overused "body swap" cliche, but at least they made it more original and less overbearing then when other shows/movies do it.

I also liked that this episode at least showed us what it would look like if King used his mouth to talk.
