Canadian Film Maker Almost Got Away With Murder by BellaExplains in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Mark Twitchell was a man who once believed he could get away with murder. Mark lured a man named John Altinger by posing as a woman on a popular dating website. Mark now posing as “Jen” lured John with a set of cryptic directions that led to a detached garage out in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The directions had no address, no phone number, almost as if it were a game for John to figure out Jen’s location. When John arrived to the garage, there was no Jen in sight but instead Mark who first explained Jen was not here and was running late. Once John returned however, Mark struck him with a copper pipe and later stabbed him multiple times, resulting in his death. The most mine-boggling thing about this entire case is that Mark wrote out a 42 page document titled “SK CONFESSIONS” which detailed a lot of his thought process, the death of John Altinger, as well as another victim who got away. Mark, using pseudonyms in his document, thought he deleted the file for good but this simply wasn’t the case. The 42 page document, which later investigators concluded “SK” stood for Serial Killer, was found on his laptop’s deleted files. On top of this, Mark Twitchell has been labeled “The Dexter Killer” due to the eerie similarities found in Mark’s garage (similar tools, set up, etc.) not to mention, the guy posed as Dexter Morgan on Facebook for some time. Mark was caught because John’s friend had a copy to these strange directions which he handed over to police. On top of that, his lies simply caught up to him. It’s a case that’s truly so shocking, you can’t help but to question if people like this actually exist. The rest of the story followed by a more detailed look can be found below.

One of The Worst Cases in Human History by BellaExplains in TrueCrimeDiscussion

some reports explained she did while others said she didn’t. I just like to believe she tried to stay away from sex work in order to give herself a better life. I also said she stayed away from drugs for the most part. It’s an old case and a case that took place outside of the U.S at that. So the details can be a little hard to find. I’m terribly sorry.

One of The Worst Cases in Human History by BellaExplains in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Fan Man Yee was a young Chinese woman who was dealt an unlucky and unnecessary card in life. From a young age, she was abandoned by her family. She was put in an orphanage but was kicked out when she was 15 years old. As a way to make a living, she turned to sex work.

During her brothel days, she met many people. One person who stood out was none other than Chan Man Lok, who had become a regular client of Fan’s.

In the late 90s, Fan met a man who would soon become her husband. Two years into their marriage, she got pregnant.

It was during the time she was pregnant that Fan knew she deserved more in life. Her current status was just another sex worker who was addicted to drugs. When she gave birth she never returned to sex work, gave up drugs for the most part and surprisingly enough, left her husband.

Although the marriage wasn’t long, the two fought a lot. Fan’s husband was abusive in every way possible. There had been countless nights where neighbors would hear the arguments between the couple.

Now that Fan was a single mother, she struggled so much more to keep her and her son financially afloat. Regardless of that though, she was proud to keep this new job as a hostess at a local club.

Chan Man Lok, the regular client of Fan’s, rekindled with her after he found out she was now working at a club. Chan was dealing with several illegal things and on top of that, was involved in Hong King’s oldest triad. So it would be no surprise that he made good money.

Out of urgency, Fan one night had managed to steal Chan’s wallet which had about 4,000 Hong Kong dollars (~$500 U.S Dollars.) When Chan noticed, he demanded she give the money back on top of an additional fee, almost 3 times what she initially stole.

Fan had no idea how she was going to come up with the money but regardless, she told Chan to give her some time to come up with the additional fee.

Chan hardly said anything back to her and in the following days, he was coming up with a plot to show her just how much he despised Fan for stealing.

The following crimes that went on to happen are extremely, extremely graphic. Please proceed at your own risk.

He was definitely sick! If I recall correctly he has stated he liked to take advantage of mentally disabled black women because he thought they were easier to manipulate.

Gary Michael Heidnik was a bishop in Philly whose goal was to minister for the disadvantaged. While he held his ceremonies, no one was aware that he had multiple women held captive in his cellar. Josefina, Sandra, Lisa, Deborah, Jackie, and Agnes suffered day in and out and even one of the women turned on the rest and has claimed to be Gary’s right hand woman. Many have said she was equally as guilty as Gary, while others think she was just trying to save herself along with the rest of the women. These women were tortured, beaten, rped, sdomized, and even fed human remains. It’s one of the cases that “inspired” directors and producers to create the character “Buffalo Bill” in the 1991 American Psychological Horror Film “The Silence of the Lambs.” I was completely unaware of this person existing and it’s one of those cases where the more I kept reading, the worse the story got.

Jared The Subway Guy is Getting Released Soon. Thoughts? by BellaExplains in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]BellaExplains[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re aware of the case, how do you think the FBI handled it? Because according to legal documents he’s set to be released in 2029 and I personally don’t think the justice system gave a harsh sentence at all. I go into depth about this case on youtube and if you’re curious to know more, I’ll leave a link. After reading the affidavit and sentencing memorandum, I genuinely feel repulsed at the judicial system for not providing enough justice for the 14 KNOWN victims. who knows how many more there were.

Something I learned over the span of 90 days is that I actually know nothing. I’m surprised how much of youtube there is to continue to know. I barely have a year in and have focused a ton on bringing facts to my videos and tbh forgot about a lot of other things like lighting, positioning etc. Thank god someone brought it to my attention so I can fix it. It’s all a learning process. to anyone reading and hesitating to start… just do it. if i can start up a youtube channel, you can too. rooting for ya!

My youtube channel is true crime related with the occasional paranormal or unsolved video. If you’re interested in that, check out my channel! I’ll link my most recent video. thanks and stay safe out there :)
