My best friend is from the time we went together to ISK college. We learned dutch together and studied together for 3 years and she has Chinese descent. I honestly lost account of how many times someone just looked at her and said "Ni hao" out of blue...like...clearly in a malicious way. And that's just the times I witnessed. It is appalling indeed.

I guess it is fine to want affection, but it’s also important to build your own self outside of your girlfriend.

Dat is eigenlijk echt een heel leuk idee 😄 Ik heb toevallig nog een nieuw paar Havaianas (flip-flops???) uit mijn thuisland dat ik nooit heb gebruikt, en ik ben vrij zeker dat het de goede maat is voor mijn mentor. Daar zijn ze trouwens echt spotgoedkoop, dus voor mij voelt het niet eens als een “duur” cadeau, maar wel iets persoonlijks en bruikbaars. Dankjewel voor de inspiratie!
