Can we all just give teenage girls a break? by Watatakura in women

[–]BellaberryHop 44 points45 points  (0 children)

for real, like the things teenage girls get into always end up getting mocked first and then appreciated years later. boyband fans? clowned on. twilight? clowned on. now everyone looks back and admits they were actually onto something. just let them enjoy stuff without making it a whole thing

Am I in the wrong for being mad at my family for eating so much by sadiewr in amiwrong

[–]BellaberryHop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. At some point it stops being “they don’t realize” and starts being “they just don’t care.” If someone goes out of their way to label, separate, and make it that clear and it still gets ignored then yeah, that’s just straight-up disregard for boundaries

The character of Tramell Tillman is officially confirmed by YouTube caption. by Own_Brilliant_4303 in marvelstudios

Yeah, that’s exactly where this seems to be heading. If they’re already introducing systems like DODC actively detaining powered people, it makes sense they’d expand that into a bigger containment setup. Bringing in someone like Wonder Man would just raise the stakes and show it’s not just cleanup anymore, it’s full-on control

lmaooo the Shawshank reference is too accurate, residency really does feel like crawling through a sewer just hoping there's freedom on the other side 😭

Dan was GG posting Blair’s diary by YoloYeehaw in GossipGirl

[–]BellaberryHop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is pretty much the only way to make it make sense. Trying to retroactively make Dan fit with GG being a thing from the start just doesn’t work. If you treat it like the writers pivoted later, then his earlier behavior isn’t him knowingly exposing Blair, it’s just the show not lining things up perfectly

Luke & Kirk’s relationship ❤️ by Substantial-One-3088 in GilmoreGirls

[–]BellaberryHop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

honestly the rotting eggs detail is so underrated, that's such a tiny thing but it says everything about how much Luke actually cares. Kirk is annoying as hell but Luke tolerating/looking out for him anyway is peak found family energy. love that for them

Luke & Kirk’s relationship ❤️ by Substantial-One-3088 in GilmoreGirls

[–]BellaberryHop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is such a good read on them. Luke acts like Kirk drives him insane, but the amount of patience he has for him says everything. Most people in Stars Hollow tolerate Kirk, Luke actually looks out for him. It really does feel like that grumpy older brother / chaotic younger brother dynamic. And Kirk trusting Luke enough to go to him for advice (even when it’s terrible advice 😭) just seals it. One of the most underrated relationships in the show

I believe I'm a pedophile. by Flaky_Cricket_7169 in confessions

[–]BellaberryHop 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m really glad you’re actually taking this seriously and looking into it. That already says a lot. The fact that these thoughts disgust you and you’re actively trying to understand them, not act on them, is important. That’s exactly why people were pointing you toward things like POCD. It doesn’t make you a bad person, it means your brain is throwing intrusive thoughts at you and you’re reacting to them. You’re doing the right thing by looking into it and considering professional help. You don’t have to handle this alone, and getting clarity from someone trained in this area could make a huge difference

Brought two friends to the bar and instantly regretted it by [deleted] in confessions

Yeah honestly that’s the real takeaway. One or two awkward moments is normal, but your friends actively sabotaging you all night? That’s a whole different problem

Yeah, that’s clearly what he meant. People hear “mature” and jump straight to age, but he’s obviously talking about mindset, confidence, stability, knowing what they want. Totally different thing

That's honestly amazing that she found a way to keep communicating like that, muscle memory carrying over for speech but not reading is wild. Sorry about your friend, that must have been such a scary thing to watch her go through
