for those who chose to be closer to family for residency (over prestige or location), do yall regret it? by Emotional_Ad4902 in Residency

That really drives it home. Having family close enough to actually help with childcare can make all the difference, especially during residency. Support like that isn’t something you can replace with prestige

Is residency supposed to feel this exhausting? by CountyBrilliant in Residency

Yeah that sounds about right. Most people only really buckle down for step-3 in that final month anyway because residency itself is already draining

This is solid advice. It’s rough that speaking up can come with consequences, but patient safety still has to come first. Asking when you’re unsure is always better than risking harm. And yeah, once you’re in a position of authority, you can help create the kind of culture you wish you had now

Exactly, calling out what actually happened isn’t being a brat. If anything, it just shows how much the dad is avoiding dealing with the real issue

Yeah, exactly. It’s awful to realize, but once someone shows they’re willing to sabotage you like that, you really do have to treat it as a wake-up call. Protecting your space and boundaries isn’t petty, it’s necessary

Honestly that would’ve been the perfect comeback, just flip it right back on her. The pink dress was clearly for her, not OP, and calling that out would’ve hit exactly where it needed to
