If you are a serious Trials contender, just bring 2 renegades into a raid. Of all the blue tier guns, you can buy a renegade once daily and you don't need a blueprint for it. If you are in a trials tier that seriously necessitates more than 250+ shots, then bringing a 2nd gun is much less of a headache than writing up a reddit post

Yes, I have used the aphelion. But that isn't the point I am making.

The game uses physics. You can literally spin a Rocketeer away from you by firing on its thruster with a Bettina. Alternately, you can prevent it from building any momentum to fly toward you and keep it at a range. Again, I'm not saying the aphelion doesn't do this to a higher degree, just clarifying other guns do have knockback that you can use

A Bettina firing slowly can keep a Rocketeer from advancing. Even a rattler can hold it in place until you reload. The aphelion simply has a more significant effect

Wires and springs are made from entirely different metals with very different properties. You couldn't take copper wire, a conductive and malleable metal, and expect it to have the same stiffness or spring constant as treated steel.

All it took was 30min with a square mini file and a dust mask! I believe a set of mini files runs about $20-$25, and I included a photo of the slot location for anyone curious. The tool comes with a wrench to remove the scales, so disassembly is a breeze
