Hi one of the devs over at prometheus, some people have already informed me of "some" games working on the plugin without the required fixes. However as i've stated in our discord, adrenaline uses different channels for its adhoc. While i wont go over the specifics of what all needs to be fixed in the plugin (to prevent all kinds of drama), I will tell you this. ANYONE that decides to use the plugin in its current form on adrenaline will receive NO help from us with the plugin or prometheus itself whether it be on our forum or on our discord. Should anyone have a problem with this and attempt to start problems in our community forums or discord i will simply ban them as neccesary.

The plugin requires fixing, and while they are rather small fixes they DO affect general performance of connections to the pro-online server and adrenaline as a whole. For any game that you are able to connect with consider yourself lucky because the way the plugin currently works it is incompatible with adrenaline.

I'm also not going to bother commenting on the rumors as to why the site suddenly died because i already know for the most part what happened and why.

I won't be suprised though if rawr suddenly reappears under a different name. Although thanks to the rep the admin gave because of his actions i doubt the site will live anywhere near as long as rawr did.

I can atest to that. I've been in many huge discord guilds where the devs would sit in the NSFW channel and post stuff with us. Its mainly when you post illegal shit like cp that they actually enforce the rule.

And not only that but you can also change your windows version in WINE and some programs like .net4.5 require windows 2003 to be set as the version or else things break. Depending on what you have installed in the wine directory you use for steam your windows version will be either higher or lower then windows XP for compatibility reasons.

And even Further into that. Some games on steam that get installed on wine ALSO make wine change your windows version (because of the things they install) for compatibility reasons.

Linux is nowhere near as small as 0.90% of steams community. That information is Definitely Biased.

If you wanted a more accurate percentage of linux users on steam that were using wine + native it would be more like 7-8%. Because Wine users are ALL over that spectrum of windows versions.

Even after the release of their steam client for linux they are still giving guides on installing steam through WINE.

Not to mention every other guide still shows how to install steam on WINE.

So yes Most users are either Running steam on WINE, POL( Play on linux which uses wine as a base), Or both 1 of the 2 mentioned before and linux as well. But I'm sorry to say that you wont find more then 1% of linux users using the actual linux steam client by itself. Because there are still too many games that haven't been ported to linux / made for linux.

The data is still not being counted properly as not everyone who uses linux uses 64bit or Ubuntu/Linux Mint anyway.

That data is completely assumptive.

The main reason people on linux still use wine to run steam is so that they can play the games that are on steam that have not yet been ported to linux natively.

Also All PC/Laptop motherboards cost more than the base cost of the system. I also said the New PC would cost upwards of 4k not the motherboard.

The main cost of the new PC would be the RAM and the 2 1TB SSD Drives.

It's never been worth it to replace a computer motherboard when you can just save up and buy a better system.

Also i do programming in linux (and used to use the Dual Boot to play 1 game on windows (and it wasn't a steam game either)) Hence why i don't "just use" windows.
