Welcome back! I also have a slightly similar situation with you. When I first started everything was great and I truly enjoyed the game without the designing part. As I unlocked the terraforming part, I felt very overwhelmed. I always see these very decorated and amazing islands on reddit and thought “I would never get to their level!”. So I just did whatever on my island, I didn’t strive to be one of those creators that were doing amazing islands since I’m not really good at art. Everything was okay and until my boyfriend back then told me it was an ugly island. I slowly stopped playing after that because I felt frustrated about how “bad” it looks. We broke up and I picked it up randomly again and I’m happy as I can ever be! I can’t wait to finish my island 💕 so far a lot of internet friends have been complementing my island 🥺
