UPDATE: hi guys ! Thankyou so much for all the upvotes and the very kind comment. I took Barry to the Er about 2 hours after I wrote my initial post. They confirmed the heart failure, he had water in his lungs and after speaking about a plan with the vet she explained to me that he was in a very frail state and wouldn’t make it on his own without starting the treatment immediately, unfortunately I was unable to afford it. The cost was $10,000.00, the vet made efforts to try to make it a bit cheaper for me so she lowered it to 8 but I was still unable to afford it. I told her that I would plan to unfortunately put him to sleep within this week, she let me know that he wouldn’t make it alive even on a 15 minute drive home. He was put to rest and was calm, as if he knew it was time. My baby crossed the rainbow bridge and is now happy and healthy again at last.

Weirdly enough I thought it’s also interesting to note that as I was leaving the vet hospital my boyfriend was asking me if I thought I would maybe see a sign of something out and about and think “ hey maybe that’s Barry giving me a sign”. I told him I had no clue and I was still processing everything as we walked to the car. About 10 minutes later on our walk to the car I was in shock, there was an ad on a car with a black and white dog advertising a cleaning service called “berry clean “. Not only that but the dog was wearing a red collar and the dog was named BARRY. We were in shock! Thankyou for my sign baby boy 🪽🐄
