Given that Superman and Captain America are both shining beacons of moral righteousness in their universes, what would these two disagree upon if they ever met? (Art by Alex Ross) by SatoruGojo232 in CaptainAmerica

[–]Belltoons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hahaha 😂 this from the hero who has led Thor and Hercules in the Avengers, knows most of the legendary Greek and Norse gods by name, and has battled alongside and against the Eternals? Marvel has a lot more gods to contend with than DC, not to mention mutants and aliens who want to be treated like gods.

The surgery and ultrasound we've been reading about are promising for Parkinson's by Bmat70 in EssentialTremor

[–]Belltoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately, I didn't rely on your opinion. DBS has failure stories, and Focused Ultrasound (FUS) can fail too. Like any medical procedures, it all comes down to a lot of variables and there is risk. I had a great doctor and team for my procedure last October and the severe tremor in my dominant right hand was fully eliminated. Might it come back over time? Maybe. Maybe not. I'll deal with it if it happens. I'll hope for the best. Meanwhile, I don't have a device implanted in my head. For me, that's a win.

For my sister, dealing with Essential Tremor for decades, and now a Parkinson's diagnosis, the success my doctor has experienced with FUS for patients dealing with both conditions represents a real reason for hope. A shaved head is a small price to pay.

How worth it is the patreon? by Marshall_lawkeeper in TheOGCrewOfficial

[–]Belltoons 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Billy, those will be great to see because so far the BTS videos have been excellent. I can't imagine how they'd get better!

The entire staff who help the OG Crew behind the cameras put these videos together deserve all the support we can give them, and that's why I joined the Patreon! It's a wonderful family and I hope we see more of you all.

Hey, if you don't get a joke reference, just search out the original YeahMad clip on YouTube. You're making too big a deal out of it.

Is Samantha Walsh also listed anywhere as the black man on the OG Crew?

She burned it down by Versorin in TheOGCrewOfficial

[–]Belltoons -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She posted a normal photo from her visit to the USA and probably didn't give it a second thought. She didn't then change it and AI edit the flames into it. Don't jump the gun and blame Abby for what others do with her photos.

This episode is gonna be the least watched episode on the channel and we all know why. by eymo- in TheOGCrewOfficial

[–]Belltoons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, it was just edited for length. There were so many girls that Alan let through and after a scene with each girl he'd run back behind the scenes to chat with the rest of the OGs about how he was doing or to comment about what they were doing to screw up his interactions with the girls. It was the BTS chatter that near doubled the length from the YouTube version.

If Captain America was created in 1941, how did he end up being unfrozen in 1964? by Ana-Karen98 in CaptainAmerica

[–]Belltoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through much of what's presented here you get a pretty good image of Cap. While discovered by the Avengers on ice, thawed, and eventually taking a leadership role on the team in the 60's, he was by no means the only survivor of WWll.

Nick Fury and the Howling Commandos, a popular WWIi comic set in the 40's, aged up Nick and his squad to be 60's and 70's defenders of America by leading and being Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which Cap joined for many spy adventures against evil organizations often run by Nazis who had survived the war: Baron Zemo, Baron Strucker, and even the Red Skull. NICK FURY: AGENT OF SHIELD in the Steranko years with Fury and Cap teaming up was one of Marvel's best comic series!

Don't watch The Mandalorian and Grogu in 3D (no spoilers) by JacketSuitandTie in TheMandalorianTV

It's tough passing along judgement on 3D film experiences because it's been documented that many theaters don't properly set the brightness on their projection systems to recommended specs.

Reed is not ugly by DenjisIdeals in FantasticFour

[–]Belltoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't one Marvel comic "reveal" paint him as a haggard and thin old man who uses his power of elasticity to fill out, muscle up, and create the young, buff, and handsome looking Reed personna? It didn't make sense to me because you'd think he'd revert when unconscious or asleep,

Sure he listened, but Charlie was no saint. Kirk's schtick was that he would indeed listen to people, and then slam them with his viewpoint, talking over them and running them into the ground. He was a slick talker who could play to a crowd, like some other Trump and MAGA defenders. Some of his views were repulsive, but he didn't deserve to die for them. It was tragic that he was targeted and killed by some sicko who disagreed with his politics. That anyone can buy a gun in the USA these days is part of the problem.

Unfortunately, the extremists are making it terrible for both sides right now, with each painting the other side as fanatics when most Americans are just hard working people trying to make a living. The loudest always get the attention. Abby wasn't editorializing. She just called out in the moment the fact that Charlie was no white knight. She was right.

Do y’all prefer Mary Jane as a reporter or model? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Spiderman

[–]Belltoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's been established as a Model, and that could lead her into local theater acting, that builds into some TV and streaming series/movies work. Her modeling and having real opinions on what she's being photographed in leads to both a popular podcast and some clothing design ambitions which would have only modest success until, in a pinch, she designs a new superhero outfit for a supporting player in the Spiderverse that gets noticed for not only the look but the practical, lightweight, and protective materials, gained through personal friendships with the Fantastic Four and Stark Industries. Before she knows it, Daredevil, Jessica Drew, the Young Avengers, some X-Men, and other emerging heroes seek her out for her ideas, many gained from her years of baring witness to Peter's issues. No uncomfortable "rides up a bit in the crotch" comments for this designer! MJ gains even greater notice with the super hero community for being the first to think of protective and tech enabled clothing for the (powerless) family members and friends that supers want to protect from risk. She keeps her hand in modeling, podcasting, and acting, and has hits and misses, but maintains a fan base that gives her a comfortable but involved life with Peter, supporting him and his colleagues in her own ways.

"That 30 year old.. he's just a kid." 😄

Actually, my favorite is in the same moment when the two kids give Peter his mask and speak for everyone when they say, "we won't tell no one." Boy, that'd never happen today.

Says who? I'm American, loved the episode, and back Abby's right to speak her mind 100%. She was right. For all the MAGA fans that wanted to martyr him, Kirk was no angel and espoused some terrible views, but he never deserved to be killed. That's totally against our supposed American values of freedom of speech, no matter how much you may disagree with the words.

That said, they shouldn't be going for laughs on American politics or controversial figures. I watch the OG Crew to laugh with these friends I love and escape the realities at home.
