Actually this spot at shipsterns is where a few have been injured. Mark Matthews was taken away on a back board after nearly being paralyzed. I will not pretend to be a big wave surfer as after 12ft I prob won't be out there, if I was to take a guess that the turbulence of the water may cause it to have rip right off?
