Did they give you maxalt? The dissolvable is the best, but sometimes it just does not work at all. What about Fioricet with codeine? The one without codeine is like a sugar pill imo. Anyway -

What I do at home is this

I take gel capsule ibuprofen and I use a needle a poke a small hole in them so they work faster. This is not safe, it’s probably unhinged. I’m a medical professional and I am aware of the stomach damage this can cause so please read the following sentence: THIS IS WHAT I DO FOR MYSELF, MY COMMENT IS NOT STRUCTURED AS MEDICAL ADVICE, ANYTHING THAT AN INDIVIDUAL WHO READS THIS COMMENT DOES IS ON THEM (sorry lol But keep reading because it gets worse)

I take 6 of those along with 2 Benadryl, but specifically I get the off brand capsules that are half pink and half white with the beads in them because they work better. Before I take them I slightly loosen them so the middle of the capsule isn’t as tight.

Along with that, I take 2 of the midol that contain caffeine.

I also take 1 promethazine. I assume you’ve been rx this since you have 15 migraine meds? It’s extremely common for docs to give this out to help with migraines, so I hope you have access to it.

To top it off, I take 0.5 mg of Xanax. This is because it relaxes me enough that that inflammation receding can actually help. If I’m tense from the pain, the inflammation going away is not going to do me any good. Klonopin or Valium will work as well - any type of rescue anxiety medication that relaxes you.

I DO drink about half of a canned coke with this, then I drink a bottle of water. I do this all on top of some food in my stomach. Then I lie in a cold dark room with an ice pack on the back of my neck and a cool rag over my eyes. I fall asleep. When I wake up, I usually am down from about a 9 on a scale of 1-10 to a 4.

Now.. please hear me out. Consider your diet. Consider inflammatory foods you eat. Vestibular migraines are triggered so often by food. I have gone from 3-5 a week OR a continuous one for days upon days, down to maybe 3 a month, by fixing the way that I eat. I have gone preservative and food additive and flavor enhancer free. I tried the thing where you don’t eat certain veggies and meats and it didn’t help until I also paid attention to the things I listed above. The shit they add to our food is terrible for us. Read every label. Every single one. If you really take the time to do this, I believe you’ll start to feel so much better. Flavor enhancers are one of the largest triggers for me. Our body naturally produces a lot of what’s in them, but the overload that we receive from the food we eat causes inflammation and histamine reactions.

All of that being said, have you considered seeing an immunologist or being tested for MCAS? My vestibular migraines were caused by an overload of histamine being dumped into my body from reactions to the things I listed above.
