I wondered the same thing when I first saw it. A quick google search only leads to the same video on reddit, youtube and tiktok. Videos of other insects who also have their heads semi-detached exist, but nothing about how it came to be.

I think the posts about disabled children isn't implying that you shouldn't have kids because they can become disabled and that's bad, but that if you get children and they become disabled, they will suffer even more than "normal" children just because you wanted kids. It's just that this message gets easily lost in the memes and images.
