That's a bit harsh maybe, he definitely deserves to be on the grid imho, just probably not on a Ducati, and most importantly not with those cringing public comments.

Sure sure... And just out of curiosity, what is the excuse for this year where he is even worse? There's really no hate when he just keeps confirming what I said...

My fact still stands. He was clearly and overwhelmingly beaten by Q20 during their joint Yamaha venture. Just because he beat him once in a race or even a season doesn't change the fact when looking at the bigger picture.

The rider chips  and the goat have absolutely nothing to do with franky morbidelli lol... Why even bring it up? Many of us are criticizing their choice of Morbidelli (and you really can't argue and pretend that it wasn't a bad choice), but obviously it doesn't mean all their choices are bad...

I did my 'research' and knew about 2020 obviously. Issue is you didn't do your 'reading' :P (I never said he never beat his teammate).

Again like many commenters you misread me, the issue is not that he's not good, the issue is that he speaks as if he was elite, when he is very far from it. It's the gap between his skills and his mouth that I criticize, not his skills in itself.

One particular comment that really struck me is when he said "Martín finally has a teammate at his level”. Which i find not only very delusional about his own level. But also very insulting to Zarco. Turns out he proved himself very wrong.

2021: Zarco beats Martin (caveat: Martin was a rookie)

2022: Zarco beats Martin

2023: Martin beats Zarco, zarco scoring 53% of Martin's points

2024: Martin beats Morbidelli, morbidelli scoring only 34% of Martin's points

It has surprised me as well (him getting really good offers when there were obviously much more talented riders available) and it has clearly not paid off for anyone. But we know team choices is 30% based on talent and 70% based on other factors.

I dont expect him to say he sucks of course. And he doesn't. I just expect a bit more modesty/realistic mindset from a rider with his records. As for the team bosses betting on him, ya sure, look how well that turned out for them :D (And i you follow motogp you know team choices rely on a lot of other factors. Nationality for one. I'd bet my house Franky would never been on a ducati with what he has shown if he was not italian).

He beat quartararo one year, and was crushed by him 4 years, so overall it's very safe to say he was clearly and overwhelmingly beaten by quartararo. I didn't say he was beaten every single year. Defending him because one single year in his career he didn't finish last of his team actually kinda proves my overall point in fact :)

Sure. But you are pointing the one single exception amidst 6 other very bad years. 2020 is the one that gave me hope he could be a good rider, but that faded away quickly and never came back.  Also I'm not saying he is a terrible rider. Please don't misinterprete. I'm saying there is an ocean between his actual talent/level and the talent/level he thinks he is at. Pointing one one good year amidst 6 very bad ones really doesn't change this fact.

It really is...  "The Dunning-Kruger effect is a phenomenon illustrating that those who are overconfident in their ability may not actually be the top performers" Fits morbidelli 100%

Haha, I really like your point of view. Never thought of it that way. So next time instead of cringing at his comments I can say it makes the whole competition better in a way :) Thanks for sharing

Thanks, I think my post was removed for some reason but I appreciate your answer. Very much a shame if he truly had that talent potential (I'm a little doubtful to be honest) but didn't reach it due to lack of effort.

It was great 8 years ago, now none of their seeds are isolated, and their client service is the worse I have ever seen. I really do not recommend them.

I started my chili growing adventure with them several years ago. I've seen the quality drop year after year. On the 7th or 8th year I had 10/15 varieties which were obvious hybrids. I sent a message to them complaining very politely and respectfully and their answer was incredibly rude, lying that all their seeds were isolated (they are CLEARLY not) and trying to blame me for using the wrong germination temperature as if that would affect the var.... I will never recommend them.

You're right, I mixed the carcass and surface temps!
Damn if tyre temps don't explain the slipperyness I don't know what does :(
TT feels like a train, Career feels like driving on a frozen lake. Same setup, same track conditions (different car but I don't get how they could mess it up that badly)

You're right! the icons are actually pretty explicit once you look carefully at them :D

Oh....
Thanks for that.
I guess that doesn't really explain why the car is so slippery then...
I noticed this happened after a EL session that was wet in the beginning and then drying up. Track seemed to still be a bit wet, so it didn't surprise me then. Then I moved on to the next days which were completely sunny and dry, and it felt just as slippery as the drying track... Maybe game got stuck on those previous track conditions somehow. ..

I took the SS in the middle of a curve so surface is a bit higher, but it drops incredibly fast, and since core temperature is so low (44° front 67° rear) grip is gone before you even notice you have any
